  1. Wow good luck to all of you! I think it's way awesome that so many share the same day. Isn't wait to find out my date and walk the journey with fellow VSG-ers - cant wait to hear about it in the next couple of days - best wishes
  2. All this talk of Endoscopes and EKG's- I don't think I have to do any of that but if for some reason I'm mistaken- yet better have a hammer ready to hit me over the head becuse I won't go down quietly . Good luck to you both!
  3. I am hoping and praying this will happen when I have surgery. I keep warning them all that life is about to change for them as well. That's one of the reasons (of many) I want to do this. I will be the first to admit that my habits have inevitably affected my children. My husband likes healthy food but is also overweight becuse I buy the junk. People always say just don't buy it. The problem with that is if I want it- I will go get it. N or having it in my house would never stop me. BUT I will change that after this surgery - I've already stopped with drinking pop and thus the family will drink more water too. So- I agree with the rest - buy more of what u eat. And then maybe separate the smaller portions out from theirs. Good luck!!
  4. That is so awesome! Congrats :-)
  5. Omg how exciting!!!! How r u feeling? All go okay? Thinking of u....
  6. Whoooops- multi post! Lucky September peeps - ha! Is there anyway to actually delete a post?
  7. P.S. tomorrow will be one week without Pop. It hasn't been a problem. It is all the food and the continuous weight gain (ooops). My brain thinks that because I'm having surgery- I can eat what I want. Totally backwards I know- but it does. So this 6 month for insurance has really done nothing positive for me. Oh well

  9. Went swimming all day with the family and theirs friends. I love swimming . I'm burnt! How r u?
  10. Ya- one of those posts that I never know if I am being too personal and or don't know if I really want to face those things. I don't have it anymore but thank you for responding
  11. NSV? Never heard of that. I do love how u explained that- that is exactly what I think all the time. I saw all those things slipping away from me slowly (can't cross my legs without holding my leg with my hand and that hurts! All of those things. I'm sorry to keep repeating myself (if u have ever read any other posts of mine) but I am so counting down the days and I just pray insurance goes through. Xxx
  12. Must be an awesome feeling! Congrats . I don't have my surgery date yet
  13. I think that is a GREAT goal! Do u have a specific size you are waiting for before you buy any? Like I refuse to buy any new clothes (hence my uncomfortable self) until I need a size down or three (I'm certain I have a couple of sizes down in my closet to use )
  14. Be comfortable in jeans on casual Friday. Yuck! I can't wait to feel normal again!
  15. Yikes! Well- id rather stay in the hospital too feeling like that. Hang in there- you will feel better soon . Overall- r u excited?
  16. Hope you're feeling better today
  17. Wow thanks everyone- I guess it's not so abnormal. My level was an 8 but now a 22. I'm taking OTC- they increased it by 1000 IU's now again. I'm not diabetic but I do have auto immune issues . Ugh- so many medical issues I truly believe can be helped so much, if not solved by weight loss. Thanks again!
  18. Yeah I understand that- I'm from Wisconsin and am told we usually are due to lack of sub exposure but I hardly had any in my system. Scared me a tad- BUT it's going up - thank u both for validating this. Feel better
  19. Sorry by what the heck is a swallow test??
  20. So I had a ton of labs done only to find out I have next to nothing of vitamin D. We have been working on raising the levels which are going up but I'm wondering if anyone else has or had this problem?
  21. Glad you're doing well love reading these posts
  22. My insurance said 6 months of consecutive weight loss program. Lord knows I have done everything- many times but nothing documented for 6 months in a row. The program I'm in has requirements of its own such as NUT appts- psychological- labs- meet with a personal trainer for three sessions. I hope thats enough
  23. Me too! I shouldn't read all theses stories about insurance troubles. I'm gonna think positive
