  1. Great article! Thanks for sharing!
  2. Pre op supervised diet with PCP #4 - done . Slowly getting closer and hoping for a mid June surgery date. scale showed that I had gained 1 pound. I am trying not to gain any weight during the pre-op process for sure, and it would be nice to loose some. My personal goal is 5-10 pounds during prior to surgery. I am in Auburn, AL. I picked up my CPAP and used it for the first time last night. It was a lot like sleeping with an octopus on my face, lol, but I am sure it will improve eventually. When I did sleep, it felt like a deeper sleep, so I do think this will be a good thing once I get use to it. So glad to hear everyone is moving along nicely .
  3. I am glad you questioned them. I have more time than money myself, and it never hurts to ask. Way to go!
  4. Ok, I just saw the section for a prescription. Thanks for the links Alex.
  5. This is a great post. I am looking into Vitamin options now for after surgery. I wonder if any of the other major vitamin suppliers offer the same option to bill your insurance and only charge the co-pay? @@Elode did you have to give them a prescription from your Dr.?
  6. @@mclorrie so glad it is going well. I may try the half calf approach as well.
  7. @@VSGAnn2014 - could have peed myself laughing! Thanks for the smile.
  8. Love, Love, Love them!
  9. For all that you have been thru, you seem to have a remarkable attitude. I am sure this will take you far. I am praying for your full recovery. Keep us posted.
  10. Yippeeeeeeeeeee! Congratulations!
  11. Good luck on your journey!
  12. @wildflowergirl I can't imagine how frustrated you have been. It will happen, but looks like it will take a little longer. Keep your chin up.
  13. That is odd. I hope it all works out. My SS Center called to pre cert me a couple days before and then confirmed my coverage before the procedure. Seems like that should be the norm.
  14. I made myself take a couple of days off from the computer..lol... I was so excited to get on line today and see the progress everyone is making. I think we have made it to "hump day" in the pre op process. I think things will really start moving from here. I pick up my CPAP tomorrow and go for pre op visit #4 next week. I am so glad you are all doing well!
  15. Eeeeekkkkkk! It is getting closer Yay!
  16. @@mclorrie how is it going without the caffeine? Is the hubby hiding from you yet? JK I am down to only one cup a day, but I also have tea. They both have to go and I am not looking forward to it!!
  17. @ccol625 I hope you are approved. The process is nerve racking to say the least. I am in my 6 month pre op right now and this is always on my mind because of my BMI being so close to the requirement. Just wanted to say good luck!
  18. Ladies, what a great topic and I have been wondering this because the first weigh / in was listed on my documents as #1. Anything to speed this 6 months along . I have given up all sodas and I am down to one cup of coffee per day. I need to drop the tea as well. I need to start working to not drink during meals. I think this is going to be really tough for me!
  19. Could have been they are supposed to try different masks during "titration" Thursday so I can't wait to see what superhero I will be! Lol
  20. I was also diagnosed with sleep apnea and go in tomorrow night to sleep with my machine so that they can adjust it. @@mclorrie - I hope you get yours adjusted for a good nights rest soon.
  21. @@joatsaint thanks for the heads up. I love freebies! Just ordered mine
  22. Hear, hear! 45 hoping for surgery in June 2015!
  23. I hope you are feeling better soon ~
  24. @@vixen1978 I am in the same boat with a BMI of 40.7. I have been tracking my food as @@mclorrie mentions. I would like to loose 5 pounds during the 6 months, but more than anything my goal is NOT to gain any at the end of the 6 months. I did gain 1 last month. I hope to be sleeved mid June as well.
