I am going through this as well. I am just a couple days of being 2 weeks post op and I'm full of anxiety. I am still painful and I can't help but keep feeling I made a huge mistake. I'm mourning food so badly. I miss being able to just drop everything and have lunch with my co workers and going out to dinner with my future husband. I know why I did this but I am starting to think I would rather be over weight than be obsessed with whatever goes into my mouth. Are these feelings normal? I know everyone says one day it will be worth it but when?

Thanks everyone. I live in phoenix, az but was banded by dr almanza jerusalem hospital. It was a very good experience. I can return to them for fills but I was trying to save the travel time bc of work and my children etc...but I just got scared reading some posts and just needed some advice. Thank you for all imput!

I was banded in mexico on july 6th. I am starting to think it was a big mistake. I need some advice. The places I'm calling for my fills won't return my calls. I keep reading that drs in the states won't touch any person banded in mexico. Does that include emergencies? What do I do if I have a serious problem? And then the fills. God I feel like I did something illegal the way I'm being treated. I had a pretty good experience in mexico so why do I feel like I'm being punished? Anyone have any information on my experience? Help

I am so with u. I was banded 7/6. Im not doing so well. I have cheated a lot and I don't know if I hurt myself. Sorry I'm not more hopefull but just know u are not alone!

Yes that happened to me as well. I was banded last Friday and when I woke for anesthesia I told them to take it out immediately bc I felt it. They gave me some pain meds and I fell asleep. Followed by waking to that rib pain. I understand how you feel. It gets much better. But sleep sleep sleep is good right now. U, like myself, are learning we can just jump up and be the same. It takes a bit . U will be great and healthy.

Me too. I am still very nervous about what I have done. What I have giving up or (less). So I'm there looking for reassurance at every turn. Dr Almanza had a special for3500. I know wow cheap. That is also part of the reason I had doubts... you know u get what u pay for". But so far so good. Already lost 17 lbs since last Friday. Amazing. But it is scary. Do a lot of research. Alot . I'm from philly and just moved to phoenix last year. Dev

Hi. I was banded july 6th and still having gas pains. I walk often and use gas x. But its very painful sometimes. I feel it in my tummy and chest. So I'm goin through it with ya.... Dev

I went with dr Almanza in tijiuana. Jerusalem hospital. It was overall a terrific experience. I wish there was a little more communication and education but overall terrific. I would go back for fills but traveling there will kill me financially. I was terrified@ I thought I wouldn't come back alive...lol but it was fine. Sterile, professional and friendly. Devon

Hello I was banded in mexico on july 6th and I am now hearing that people have problems finding fillers in the states. Anyone know anyone in the phoenix area that does fills? Devon

Yes I was also banded on 7/6. I'm ravenous. I cry constantly. I've lost 10 lbs but I have had to eat a couple real food items to keep the hungry pangs in check. I did a tsp of pb and tuna fish. I'm so confused about the amount and I feel like I'm not eating enough. I'm weak and starving and gassy.

I agree to this. I'm day 5 post op and I'm starving. I want real food. Is this common? A lot of bandies I've spoken to said they were not hungry at all? Help
