  1. The typical baggage would be like eating high sugar or high fat food. This is going to sabotage a person's efforts during the transformation. Also drinking too much alcohol or caffeine might also get in your way. Things like that. Try and eat as cleanly as possible, almost a paleo diet.
  2. Yup, definitely possible. You just need to wait until your doctor clears you for alcohol and then be aware that you may be affected by alcohol differently now. I enjoy a nice glass from time to time as a post op. one glass is usually enough for me in a sitting.
  3. Isn't that a wonderful NSV! And you did it on accident?!?!? How luck are you. My candid shots always break the camera. They don't look good.
  4. Muse songs like Uprising, super massive black hole, resistance and more. Awesome to run with. Imagine dragon songs like Demons, Radioactive, In time and more. Awesome to run with. The following are also good and part of my running mix: Beautiful day by U2 Eye of the Tiger by Great white Start me up by the Rolling Stones Trojans by atlas Genius Beat it by Michael Jackson Gangstas paradise Born to run by Bruce Springsteen Rocky 1 theme Misirlou from Gangstas Paradise Rolling in the deep by Adele Do 't stop believing by Journey Moves like jagger by Maroon 5 Party rock anthem by lmfao Let's get it started by Black eye peas Walking on sunshine by Katrina & the waves Feel good inc by gorillas Sexy back by Justin timber lake Sex on fire by kings of Leon Yeah! 5. Everyone is doing great! Keep up the praise reports!
  6. Isn't it strange with so many people struggling with the BA chewable tabs that they would not do something drastic like change their formula? I took them some 11 months ago and Always threw up with them. Consistently, every single day! Celebrate capsules also caused me to throw up. This was real throwing up, not sliming. I could not take throwing up every morning so switched to tabs from Trader Joe. These did not cause me to throw up. For the last 45 months I have been taking GNC extreme athlete which has been working out really nicely for me.
  7. I use 2 scoops of muscle milk light, but only because each scoop is 12.5 grams of protein and I want 25 grams of protein. The gelled chia seeds do tend to thicken the shake up and also captures the flavor well with 8-10 oz of water.
  8. Did you find this out day of your surgery? Hopefully not...
  9. Last week was a good week. I kept on the same type of eating and workout program as the prior week. This week, I am going to up the weights by 5 lbs. I bought a Bowflex adjustable dumbbell set on Sunday that ranges from 5-55. It will make it very easy to progress through the weight amounts without going out and buying individual dumbbells. I am super excited about using these now on my push, pull and legs day. In the future, I want to use them with pdx90. Down 3 lbs this week at 185. Yay!! Muscle definition is improving and fat % is 16%. Super psyched about our small group of transformers on this thread. Keep up the great work!
  10. I believe ( yes, it is a belief!) that it is OK and actually healthy for you to have 1 cheat meal 1 time a week. Not more often then that. The 1 cheat meal gives you something to look forward to and also resets your caloric burn rate, or rather, your BMR, for the next stretch of low calorie dieting. It is a sane way to approach eating as a maintaining post op. The key is not to make It a habit of more then 1 meal. I do not yet eat cheat meals, but i see it as ideal for most as a 'normal' approach to eating after you reach goal. I am glad you enjoyed the peach cobbler and ice cream.
  11. Most collagen is considered useless, but not all. Please consider the following research on hydrolyzed collagen: http://m.obesityhelp.com/forums/amos/3502429/PROTEIN-BULLET-CONTROVERSY/
  12. We ended up having grilled ranch chicken breast with roasted red pepper!
  13. No problem. 3 scoops is 60 g of Protein for the GNC shakes. It is definitely over kill to try and consume 60 g of protein as here is how it breaks down : 1. 15-20 g protein, average amount for average adult to consume. 2. 20-25 g protein, average amount for WLS adult to consume. 3. 25-30 g protein, average amount for athletic adult to consume Adults typically cannot process more then the upper values on these ranges above. Eating more will result in storage of protein or elimination, neither which are ideal.
  14. A slider is any food eaten by a post op that you can eat a lot of because there is little to no restriction. A slider can be nutritional healthy or junk food. However, most slider cases I have seen so far revolve around junk food like chips, ice cream or cake. Not everyone has the same set of slider foods as it is highly individual. The best preemptive approach you can take as a post op is to be aware of all foods you consume and not to allow sliders to slip into your diet.
  15. It might be 8 oz or 10 oz of water, whatever suits you. Adding gelled chia seeds really brings out the flavor and taste, even when using only 1 scoop.
  16. That is friggin awesome Anne. Breaking through any major boundary is such an NSV.
  17. I think it tastes fine with 1 scoop, but that is just me.
  18. Yeah, the slider nature of these yummy kale chips concerns me a little.
