  1. I would also wait just a little bit. I had lap band in 2008 and lost (cos I couldn't eat) and had a tummy tuck and arm tuck in 2009. I had my band loosened for the surgery and I gained. Never got it back right. Honestly never liked the band. So here I am with the sleeve and stretched out scars
  2. Yes! It's been very noisy!! I will try that. I have Greek yogurt though - which I love and has good protein. I guess soup and more soup!
  3. I was just sleeved 11/28. I've been taking one laxative pill at night. Finally went tonight! Woohoo!
  4. Hope all is ok! When were you sleeved? Sending you good vibes!
  5. Fun Size - I found his YouTube videos and am going to watch them!
  6. Thank you both! I did have a preop diet. 4 weeks of normal dieting and 2 weeks very low carb. The day before was all liquids. Fun size - I will check out Dr Alvarez on YouTube. I've been on there a lot following people and that's helped a lot too!
  7. I am feeling hunger and tummy growling. I had a small kids yogurt about 1-2 hours ago and I'm hungry. I thought hunger would go away? Is it bc I'm still healing and swollen?
  8. Thank you both! I appreciate any insight I can get! I'm trying to be as prepared as I can. My LB surgery was actually outpatient. I went home later that day. I've also had a tummy tuck and arm tuck and spent one night in the hospital. Hopefully I can get the full benefit of those again after I'm able to lose again I dunno I guess being overly prepared makes me less nervous??
  9. Hi all! Thank you again for your insights. I am wondering how the pain and experience differs with the VGS surgery than the Lap Band. I don't remember the band being particularly bad or very nauseous etc. Those of you that have been through both...what are your thoughts? Is the VGS experience worse? The same? Trying to prepare for 11-28!
  10. Thank you everyone! I'm hearing that you all wish you'd done the sleeve first. Makes me feel good about my decision and listening to my gut. I had my last appt today pre-op and found out that my insurance will cover it! I'm planning for 11-28 to be revision day! Bye bye band day! I'm nervous....
  11. Thank you all for replying! I just needed to know what I was thinking was on the right track. A lot of my family think I am looking for a quick fix. I'm not. My sister says if I just eat less and exercise then I don't need surgery again and waste my time/money!! I know me and I'm so in a different place now. I'm glad to have reassurance.
  12. I was banded in 2008 and lost 70+ pounds. After I had skin removed in 2009 they opened the band for me to get nutrients and its never been the same. I gained it back. Looking back I realized I lost because I couldn't eat and would throw up or get stuck. I moved to slider foods and gained and also because I never got a sweet spot. I've been prepping for a revision to the sleeve since spring with therapy, classes, and all my clearance tests. I have my final dr visit 11/1 and am hoping for surgery on 11/28. I'm curious to find out how the two types of WLS are different feeling and how you eat etc. My thinking is that the VGS stomach will make you feel full like a normal stomach but just smaller amounts...where the band is moving food through a small hole and filling a top pouch instead of a full stomach feel. Do you throw up? Do you dump? I've heard someVGS do. I just want some scoop from those who've been there. Thanks!!! This is my first post
