1. Congrats to everyone! You are all doing so good! Why must I obsess?? I was happy with my weightloss but seeing everyone's huge losses makes me fear I'm going to be a slow looser.
2. Down 18 lbs....7 preop and 11 postop. So happy with my progress..I mean really when was the last time I ever lost 18lbs in 3 weeks?? I am just hoping and praying the scale continues to move down..down...down...
3. Sorry I missed everyone comments yesterday but it looks like the questions were answered. Yes the website is emilybites.com and she has lots of great weight watcher recipes. I have only tried the French dip so far but I'm going to make the cheeseburger and taco ones this weekend to freeze. These are great grab and go!!
4. Awesome job! Congrats! Hope i can join you eventually!
5. I love to cook and I have missed it so much. I have been dying to get to the point when I could try all the different cupcake recipes from "emilys bites". So I tried the French dip "cupcakes" today and I am so excited!! They are delicious and with just one I am stuffed! It's the little things in life that makes me happy!
6. Tx! Same to you! Let's keep up with each other. Thanks again for your support
7. So I saw the Dr today and relayed my concerns. He told me not to worry. I fill definitely feel the restrictions with more solid foods. He said everyone is different and be glad its easy for me to her liquids in. He also said that I am so calorie deficient right now that it is normal to have hunger and I may need to eat/drink more often than I have been unfilled I can get more solid protein in and feel full longer. He moved me to pureed or blenderized foods now so I can move on to some different things from just chicken broth and tomato soup. This helped me a lot. I am in a much better frame if mind now. I think for a couple days I just felt hungry, isolated, and depressed like I wouldn't feel "normal" again. But I feel do much better now and I realize this is still a process that I have to work through and in a couple weeks I will be eating normal foods all be it in small amounts but living a more "normal" life. This has been and will be an emotional adventure food me but I am understanding more and more that this is exactly why I has this surgery. I wouldnt be able do do this in my own.
8. You have all been very supportive and the responses are making me feel more comfortable that it will be ok. Thanks everyone.
9. That's for everyone's support! I hope u are all right and I will have resistance and will be sucessfull. I helps to know that others felt the same way in the beginning and are now sucessfull.
10. So u were able to drink normally quickly? Did u have resistance on soft or mushy foods? How was your resistance in regular foods? How much are u able to eat before you feel resistance? By the way congratulations on your success!! You look wonderful!
11. I am so down and worried today. I am 5 days postop and physically feeling much better. But I am feeling so hungry. I am still on full liquids till Wednesday. I'm worried #1 because I am able to drink pretty much normally. I can get my shakes in and all my fluids and I don't feel any resistance. This cares me. I can even eat cream soup and have no pain. #2 what if u did all this and I'm still hungry all the time with minimal resistance. My friend who had the sleeve wasn't hungry at all postop and could barely get anything in without feeling full? Why am I different? #3 I'm mourning food and normally when I'm so upset I would eat something comforting and I can't. I feel so lost....
12. I'm so glad I read this thread ! I am in the same place. I was sleeved on Nov 20th and I started full liquids today and I am hungry, hungry, hungry!! I don't have any problems with liquids but I haven't felt full at all. I am hoping for good restriction on soft/mushies. frustrated
13. Getting ready to go the the hospital!! Nervous....nervous....nervous!
14. Thanks so much everyone for the kind words and encouragement!!
15. I'm supposed to be at the hospital at 6am tomorrow. I have nervous energy to burn. I'm driving my husband crazy because I won't just sit down. I'm just worried that I hope I'm doing the right thing. I don't want to regret my decision. But on the other hand I know this is going to be the best thing for me. Wish me luck tomorrow is the day! Good luck and safe surgery to all the other Nov 20th sleevers!
16. Thanks to both of you!!! I appreciate the support!
17. So I'm actually doing so much better than I thought I would. I thought I would be trying to bite small children by now but its been ok. Now don't get me wrong I'm hungery, but its ok because I am ready to have this surgery and I know its the right thing. But..... I miss food. I just really enjoy food and cooking. Cooking and eating a great dinner with my husband makes me happy. I didn't think I would feel sad and down. I was worried more about just being hungry and wanting food. I hope this is something that will pass and I won't always feel like I'm missing out??
18. You look wonderful! Thanks for sharing. I am on my liquid diet now, surgery on Tuesday so posts like this help keep me motivated. How much do u exercise? Were u very strict with your diet? Any advise for a newbie?
