  1. Thank you all for your responses. I think I needed someone else to tell me it is normal. Taking measurements is a great idea. I will consider this all part of the journey.
  2. I was sleeved on Dec 13. With the two weeks of liquids and the post op diet, I lost 27 pounds. Then as of Dec 24, I stopped losing. I am the same weight today. I have continued on liquids, basically two 30 gram protein shakes a day and soup. By my count, I am taking in about 500-600 calories a day. I started back on the treadmill to increase my activity, but so far that hasn't worked. I am getting depressed. I feel like I have the metabolism of a geriatric earthworm! Any one else have this problem?
  3. I've taken care of a lot of post laparscopic patients. For different surgeries. The one thing that helps everyone is walking. Even if you do short walks, then rest. It will help. I was sleeved on the 13th of December. I had terrible gas, but walking helped me belch it out. I sounded like a honking goose for a few days, but I feel better now. The other thing Inoticed was that I mixed my protein shakes in a small blender. I think that mixed a lot of air into them. So I mix them and then let them sit in the fridge until the bubbles dissapate. Good luck to you.
  4. Good luck to you too. I am the first case. I have to report at 5:15. Your day is a little longer, but it will get there.
  5. Thank you. The support on this board has meant a lot to me, I have told very few people, so it is nice to have someone to talk to. G
  6. I am scheduled for Monday the 13th. I can't wait. I have been on liquids for two weeks. I spent today cleaning my house from top to bottom. My husband has been very supportive. He had gastric bypass two years ago and lost 90 pounds. He feels great. I just couldn't wrap my head around the re-routing part of gastric bypass, so I was thrilled when the doc suggested this. I am ready.
