  1. Thank you, yes I guess CHANGE is here for me! I can´t wait to get the Sleeve in a week I am sure once I do I will be reborn again and want to buy *new* smaller clothes and show them off! Thank you
  2. Do tell your Doctor about the cheating cause it could interfere with the surgery!
  3. Hello everybody, I can´t believe everything that´s happening to be before the surgery date in a week from today. My boyfriend has been helping me pay for the surgery for months now and I can´t believe we broke up a WEEK before the surgery... I think I am nervous about it that I am extra sensitive, I don´t know but I need someone to tell me that everything´s is going to be AMAZING because I have been waiting for this moment for a LONG time and I can´t believe I am facing this breakup plus surgery without him, he was like a husband to me. Anyways; I should be okay I am just shocked! I am getting my surgery on Sept 4 in México and have everything ready, expect his support....
  4. I had the same kind of thing happen to me. What I did was take Bach Flower remedy it worked for my nervousness I guess I was stressed that I had financal and emotional as well as social things to worry about so I came across them and worked like magic! Like it says above there is no time to think negatively! Whatever you decide just be certain about it and assume all the risks.
  5. It is a weight loss surgery that sort of works like the sleeve yet instead of cutting the excess stomach they just twist it inwards where they tuck it in so to speak.
  6. Please keep us posted we are worried. Blessings to you I hope you get healed tonight and it gets better asap.
  7. Hey... I am sorry I can t answer your question because I havent had it done yet but I hope you feel much better really soon. Hang in there, I am certain you will feel better very soon!
  8. I dont know if he made a choice yet I just want to say that I have had the lap band, and the plication as well. First I had the lap band, it barely worked, just making me unable to swallow food, then I stalled, then it got a little infected at the bottom valve, so I decided to take it off. then I had the plication later and it was a waste of my money, didnt work at all, gained weight even!, and now finallly I am having the plication removed and getting the sleeve which I SHOULD OF GOTTEN right from the begging, and quit wasting time and effort on mediocre approches. Good luck if it works on you, but I am ready for the next level of no turning back.
  9. Hello I wonder how have your family members and friend responded to your weight loss, I guess in a positive way but were they shocked or did they know you would acomplish it...
  10. Hi I hope you are all doing wonderful, I was just curious since I am getting my sleeve done this month, how has your outlook on life changed...
  11. I can't say because my doc didn't give me a pre op diet! But I am thinking about doing one by myself anyway. All I can say is if you are doing that well keep it up !
  12. That's awsome, I have been anticipating this moment for a long time. It like weight has always been my main problem stuck in the cycle, so it is hard for my mind to get that it won't be as tough anymore I guess that's what's happening. Thanks to both of you I will keep my hopes up
  13. Good luck to you both! Don't worry. Everything's going to be AMAZING!
  14. Yes it does! I guess since I am about to get the surgery I feel it is almost too good to be true, so that's why I am still pinching myself. The thing is that because I got the Lap Band and it barely made a difference, I am a little hesitant about this working. But I think this is a far better procedure than the lap band because, 1. The absence of the hormone, and 2. You actually feel full not unable to eat.
  15. Hi of course it depends on many things but is the sleeve a pretty successful weight loss method? I am just wondering...
  16. I totally get how you are feeling, I am going through the mental part of this whole thing without professional counseling but I am managing to stay calm focused and cheerful thanks to this site. My family is not supporting me with this decision so you can imagine how hard it is for me with this. I think we have to be mentally ready for this before we undergo sugery. I have grown from this experience and I haven´t even ha the sugery yet! Birdie18 just think first things first. First I believe is getting ready mentally, then emotionally, then gathering strength to do this the best way, at least that´s what I´ve been doing. I think we all here understand what you mean about the weight loss fails... but don´t give up on something you can´t go a day without thinking about! I think you can do it!
  17. I will join you soon! With faith and good luck in a couple months I will be here where you are! Can´t wait to feel like you do! Congratulations to all of you "Happy Sleevers""
  18. I really needed to hear all this! This is so helpful. I am much less nervous and I already started packing my bags for the sugery tonight. My date is until the last days of Aug, but I am so exited I want to start "getting ready"-- I CAN DO THIS ! I know I can do it the right way thanks to all of you. <3 Wish me luck! ;D
  19. Thanks I really needed to hear that. I guess I expect to be as "hungry" all the time as I am now, I guess if will not be the same. I am just going to go for it and expect the best. Knowing that everything will be different and I will too.
  20. I am very nervous about the surgery and the strict diet afterwards. Anybody else feel this way? I don´t know if I am going to be able to follow the dietary guidelines etc...
  21. Well I don´t know the exact answer to your question but I can guess it depends on the doctor´s policy. Each doctor has their own private "style". I think it also depends on the kind of surgery you are going to get, like if it is a bypass I may think that you need 3 days of clear liquid. All I know is that you need your stomach empty so it just depends on the client and the case.
  22. I have been approved recently and I trust my doctor very much. For some reason, I am just feeling general anxiety about the whole thing. I want to get my sleeve done asap but I must wait a couple of months till I gather all the resources because I will self pay. Before this I got the "Gastric Plication" before my Sleeve so the cost is a bit higher because they must undo the Plication first. I guess for me it is just too good to be true. My friends say every time I am about to accomplish something big I start to doubt myself. I guess it is a bad habit of mine but I just wanted to share and see if you had any suggestions for me.
  23. Of course not. I am just trying to help my VS community because I know my way around here, that´s all. I am just talking about quick tips.
