  1. I finally to 189! But its been so slow... I go to the gym 5 days a week. I eat 850-1000 calories per day and track! I do need to increase my water for sure-so hard to remember to drink. Busy with a little one. I am wondering if I need another fill.... last time they were almost not going to because I dont get hungry very fast. I can eat more than a cup but they said thats not the "tell all". I dont want to get too tight.
  2. I got pregnant before the band at 220+ and delivered at 298, I gained quickly at the end due to preeclampsia. I am currently 191 and we are wanting to get pregnant again. I am down 62 lbs since my band (6/12/12). I am nervous to get pregnant since I am not at goal but we dont want to wait to much longer as we want the kids closer together and we plan to have 2 more kids. Im really scared to get pregnant and have to remove fluids. I didnt get to sick with my 1st pregnancy, hopefully I dont with #2 and can leave my fluids in. I have free fills until June but if its removed I will have to start over again with self pay, boo!
  3. Mine has slowed down. I've increased my workouts though. I'm down 51 post/62 total.
  4. I had a weird short bug recently. I did end up vomiting. My dr said unless u continue to get sick to not worry unless felt pain. I was OK. I can't imagine unfilling without you being sick.
  5. I was given some from a friend and I typically have one a day with almond milk. They taste good. Not as much protein as the pure protein I have for breakfast tho
  6. Wow carolinagirl!! Great. June 12. Down 53 (including pre op) 6cc next fill Tuesday 62 to go.
  7. Any suggestions to get past a plateau? Its only been 2 weeks but I need to get the scale moving! I stay between 900-1000 calories per say 97% of the time. I track via lose it and get my 10k steps in 4-5 days of the week. I lost 50 lbs so far and it was by doing the above. I'm wondering if I need to drop to 800 calories vs 900?

  9. June 12. Down 49 including preop and 6cc in 10cc band.
  10. I had mine 6 months after delivery. Not sure what the limit is but I would ask your doctor. If u plan to use insurance they may require 6 months diet monitored by a Dr so check into it as soon as possible.
  11. I feel the same way. Of course I'm making myself eat smaller portions but nothing feels different than before surgery. I think I expected to feel full and stuff. Hopefully after first fill
  12. Thanks everyone. It was total emotional choice. I don't buy food like this but found it in a box at work and had some.... I'm stressed due to it being my last week at work (lay off after 12 years) I am now aware of my Choice and reason so hopefully I will do better at avoiding. thanks so much for listening and supporting.
  13. I was banded 6/12 and looking for someone that would want to be email/text buddies to help support each other. It would be great to have someone that has been doing this a while that is knowledgable and could help me get the swing of this new lifestyle. I am 30, new mom and soon to be stay at home mom after working in the corporate world for 12 years.
  14. Im still new to this.. and havent been losing so I think I am sabotaging myself. I found myself eating cheetos today!! What is wrong with me?! I stopped and threw them away but my word.... I cant believe it! I think I was expecting this to feel different-so far if I wanted to I could eat/drink the same as i did before. I can not wait until my fill July 18th so that I can at least have some restriction to HELP me. I know its not magic but in my fairy tale world I was going to be losing already and that would help motivate me to keep going. I have been eating 1 cup or less during each meal and have had been doing great with Protein. Guess I feel like even without surgery i should be losing due to the significant drop in calorie intake from before surgery. Sorry, having a pity party. Very upset w/ myself for falling back into bad habits.
  15. I had no issue drinking after surgery.... i started super slow but sometimes I wonder if they forgot to put a band in. loL
  16. I have been doing small amounts of solids the past few days. My doc said there isn't anything magical that happens at 14 days and if i am tolerating them OK its okay to slow into them. I've been doing more Mushie than solids up until now.
  17. I am 2 weeks out and my Dr said there is no magical day and if I tolerate it its okay to ease into more solids. I've had small portions of chicken, jerky and some nuts and had no issues. Sticking mostly to shakes and cottage cheese consistency tho.
  18. Packed food for tomorrow...shake for bfast, 1/3 cup cottage cheese, 3oz chicken w/ homemade nf greek yogurt tiziki (sp) 4 slices pear, bag of edamame. Sound reasonable? That's for 8am-630pm. I was banded 2 weeks ago and have no restriction so trying to be super good about portions and choices.
  19. Wow! Great job with fluids.... I struggle with fluids.
