  1. I didn't want to tell anyone until I lost my weight. Before my surgery I didn't want to be distracted with any negativity. After the surgery I didn't want to be watched constantly & asked how much I am losing all the time. I really didn't want to be focused on any numbers. It was totally right for me. My husband knew & just 1 friend who is struggling with weight issues herself & who I knew would be supportive. Now that I've lost all my weight I have told a few more people. My best friend got to watch me deal with my lapband & she is going to get the procedure herself now that she saw my positive results.
  2. Since getting the band 2 yrs ago I now can only handle a 2 drink maximum. I get drunk very easily but more importantly I act way different than the past. With the lapband there doesn't seem to have the sensation you're getting tipsy - it just hits you & by then it's too late! I noticed it happened to my brother also after he got his lapband. Have to be very careful drinking now.
  3. Happens to me too sometimes. A actually felt I had a blockage & I had back pain. I had to get a slight unfill to get comfortable. Good again.
  4. I have been having trouble lately also with pain between my shoulder blades & when I take a deep breath. I did get a small defill & it made a great improvement but it is still happening a bit. I don't want to have anymore taken out. It is strange because I have only had 1 fill over a year ago so why now? Strange... It does have me a bit worried though. I've had my lapband for 2 yrs this Sept. Anyone experience same?
