  1. I went in for my second fill on thursday, with the hopes to get my second fill. The first time the nurse had trouble finding the port but was able to get it on the third try, but on Thursday the nurse was unable to get the need in it only strike the side. I have visit with the doctor that did my surgery on Monday. I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the nurse\ doctor finding their port. A little background about me is that I have lost about 30 pounds since surgery on aug 25 but only because I'm dieting like I should even though I feel little to nothing from the band yet.

  3. When I was getting approved they said my doctor didn't fill something out right. All I had to do was resubmit it with it fill out correctly.
  4. I im four days post op and I find that heat pad helps. I make sure to only but it on my shoulders/ back so that way it is not close to my stomach and stitches. Also the more I move around the better I feel and the gas pain seem to be going away.
  5. Being a young person that just got banded I decided I would tell close family. I also decided I would tell a close friend so she could cover for me at school. Well her whole family found out and now they are even considering the surgery. I don't think im laying when people ask what i'm doing different because I am working butt off and watching what I eat. I think one day I will be happy to tell people the full story but i'm not ready for the added pressure of everyone knowing yet.
  6. I don't remember much except for that my nurse said everything went ok. Also they were giving me ice chips which I didn't know that I could have.

  9. I was just banded on the 23rd so your ahead of me. Im also looking for a buddy that can helpe stay on track
  10. I also spent the night in the hospital. Im a little surprised about how much pain i'm having. I never thought I would be able to feel liquids going down. Can you? Also im finding that I like to drink water/ vitamin water more than juices.
  11. Im so excited that my day for my surgery is coming so quickly. The pre op diet has not been as bad as I thought it was going to be. So I was wondering if anyone else has a date around that, that us going through the same things?
  12. I was wondering what people thought of the pre op diet. I know that it normal starts 14 days before your surgery date, but what were you able to eat/drink? I meet with them before my surgery but I feel like I am unable to find information so i know the basic. I would love for people to share their pre op stories.
