  1. Im only a few days out, but I was told that should aim for 5-8 oz per hour. But I'm guessing that's just at first. I don't want to stretch my sleeve either, or cause a leak. But I'm finding myself feeling like I take in more too.
  2. I think it differs fir each person. For me, I gurgle after each sip.
  3. I am totally dealing with being hungry. It sucks. My mind is saying, "you crazy fool! You haven't had real food in a week!". But my stomach wins out, newly sleeved on Monday. But I know it's hard. So hard.
  4. I had a BMI of 36 when I had my surgery this past Monday. If you are self pay, more doctors might be willing to do it. I'm not sure if insurance would cover it. It's worth looking into.
  5. My doc said that once I'm able to be on full liquids, around week 2, that thinned oatmeal is fine. And my nutritionist said that I can totally add Greek yogurts and/or protein powder to it. That way it sticks around longer. I was also told to eat way slow, so I don't get sick. Apparently swallowing oatmeal is different from liquids.
  6. I've been having those new Ensure Clear drinks. They are a little high in sugars and carbs, but do have 9 oz of protein. I'm only going to drink those for a few more days. Then when I can, onto full liquids. It's one of the few things sitting well with me, so I figured I'll take it!
  7. I was sleeved on the 16th too! I'm also worried about leaks. my gas pain has gone down, but I'm still all gurgle-y. Small price compared to the gas pains.
  8. So glad you are doing well! Prayers for diminished heart burn and lots of comfy sleep!
  9. I know what you mean! My tummy is not hungery (well maybe just a little). But my head is starving!
  10. Thanks everyone. You really don't know how much the support means to me. Thank you!
  11. Thanks everyone. You really don't know
  12. You are an inspiration, that's fantastic!!!
  13. I don't have an answer, I was just sleeved Monday. But I'd like to hear an answer too!
  14. Was sleeved Monday. And today I'm having buyers remorse. I can't stop crying for some reason. Most of the gas pain is gone, but my drain is really hurting. Im supposed to have it taken out next Wednesday. But it's so uncomfortable. It hurts to breathe deeply. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. But today isn't a good day. I'm still swollen, and up 8 pounds since I was sleeved. I up and walking around too. I Just a tough day, that's all. I know we all have them. sorry for the venting. I'm just out of sorts. When did you feel like yourself again?
  15. Prayers for you! Keep us posted on how you are doing. I was sleeved Monday! Can't wait to hear about how it goes for you. Yay!
  16. How are you feeling? Most of my gas pain is gone. But my incision sites hurt.
  17. That's a good idea, thanks!
  18. So my head is hungry. My stomach is not of course. Im only a few days out of surgery, I was sleeved on Monday. But my head knows I haven't had real food since Friday. So, all those darned food commercials are not easy to watch. I'm no where near ready for food. But I finally understand the whole head hunger thing. Ugh!
  19. Now my drain is less blood, and more clear. I'm hoping this is a good thing?
  20. I was sleeved on Monday, and most of the gas pain is gone. But my belly button incision really hurts, and where the drain is. It hurts to breathe deeply or sit and stand. Once I'm up standing or down sitting it's fine. The drain site really hurts though.
  21. I don't know why it has to be in there. My doc said something like, to check for leaks. It's really uncomfortable. So is my belly button. I just want the darn drain out. Ouch!
