  1. Hi, I'm from Las Vegas, NV and was sleeved 5/15
  2. First congratulations. You're on your way to a skinny you. I did what you're doing for 3 days. Got terribly dehydrated. Plus, I couldn't stand the taste of sugar free anything. So I stopped. I finally got 1/2 grape pedialyte and 1/2 grape juice down and regular popcycles. I had my doctor order my suppositories for nauseau and the medication for spasms that go under your tongue helped. I hope this info will help you. I literally would rather have died. After the 4th day things started getting better. Good luck!
  3. Thank you so much. You've put it in perspective for me. I was 223 lbs and my BMI was 38. I am 56 years old and I do have some medical problems with my back and legs and on quite a bit of medication. I'm hoping with this surgery I'll be able to improve my medical condition and get a better quality of life. I so appreciate your response. It has given me the foundation and strength to get going. It is so comforting having people going through the same process as you to be able to share and to be encouraging. Thank you again and I look forward to contributing to this site and other members.
  4. Hi I was sleeved on May 15th and have only lost 12 pounds. Any one have any feedback?
  5. My doctor is going to do an Upper GI Series on me because he said I could have scar tissue pushing along the stitch line causing the heartburn. He said to stop it the do an endoscopy procedure and blow your pouch up with a balloon. Supposedly that stops the heartburn. Don't know a lot about it but will keep you posted during the process.
  6. Hi. My name is Debi and I was sleeved on 5/15/12. I can pretty much tolerate any types of food I have eaten so far. I never went to any classes, just nutrition classes and we were told after week two to go to soft foods and then solids as we tolerate them. If we have a hard time go back down otherwise, proceed as much as you can tolerate. As of week 4 I have lost only 12 pounds. Do you all think that's normal or I'm not progressing as much as I should be? Any feedback would be much appreciated.
