I am 1 week into my 2 week pre op diet! My diet consists of 4 Protein shakes a day plus 6-8 servings of chicken/fish , raw veggies, yogurt. I have not cheated at all but today temptation was showing its ugly face! Just left surgeons office for pre op visit. My test results showed increased liver enzymes ( of course I have a fatty liver). As I was sitting waiting it hit me!! THIS IS REAL!!!! This time next week I will be sleeved!!!! Oh my I never had a real "food funeral" and it hit me like a brick!! The food porn was going crazy thru my mind!!! I actually stopped at wawa!! But NOTHING inside the store was appealing to me! Not even their mint iced coffee that I used to live on!!!! I grabbed 2 hard boiled eggs and a bottle of Water and was on my way!!! What happened to the old me??? Is she gone forever???? Thank goodness!!!! I have no real cravings!!!! Already??? Wow!!!! So I went in nervous cause my blood test showed elevated liver enzymes! I also know I have a fatty liver!!! At 32 years old I am not a drinker at all but as my doctor says.... Anyone who is having bariatric surgery is gonna have a fatty liver! She is not worried about my elevated levels and will not close me up without doing the surgery:) that was my biggest fear!!! Sure they do! Can mix w milk ( I use skim plus...extra 11 g Protein and + calcium) as per my nut!! I just ordered Syntrax on amazon ( Cookies n cream is BANGIN and 23g protein per scoop) but u can get sample packs of different flavors! I tried Bariatric fusion not so bad but not my #1 mixed w water! I was told aty last nut visit that u can go to Vitamin shops and look for protein shakes! Just make sure u 1. Ask for help so u don't get the ones made for body builders.... They usually have an assortment for bariatric surgery! 2. Main ingredient is whey isolate!!!! More pure protein!! Had my stress Test.... Nuclear though.... Had a sprained mcl at the time do no treadmill for me! When the doc injected the radio isotope I immediately felt a rush ... Got very dizzy and massive headache!!! I was watching the monitors and my heart was not racing but I felt it more in my head!! He then gave me the antedote and told me it was a common reaction!!! It just felt weird... Like borderline passing out weird!!!! That's y the Dr is in the room when they inject the isotope!!!!! They kept asking how I felt and immediately I told them and the antedote worked IMEDIATELY and I was back to normal!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

I've heard great things about the bariatric surgeries at Monmouth!!! I work at jersey shore and I'm having my surgery at soch on sept 20th!!! Only reason is because it is 100% covered!!!! I've looked into a few surgeons in our area and found dr Fresco and Reich! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Same here!!!! Have had bronchitis for a week and my sx is scheduled for 9/20!!!! I just finished my antibiotics (avelox) (z pack never works on me) I've also been taking mucinex cough suppressant/decongestant!!! That stuff works wonders!!!!! My pre op testing is set for tues 9/5 and that's when I'll get my chest X-ray... So it should be cleared up by then!!!! Hopefully!!!! Good luck to u !!!! Tis the season for good ok bronchitis (that bastard lol)

Soooo my bf n I were discussing possibly booking a cruise end of Feb! That will make me 5 months post op! My question is .... Should I book? So many things are going thru my mind..... clothes especially..... What to do what to do!,, ok so where the heck am I gonna get summer clothes in February and lord knows what size I will be then! Ohhh the excitement of flying and not worrying if the seatbelt is gonna fit this time! Just wanna hear what some of u post op sleevers can advise!!!

Simple little groin stick , a little flush feeling from the contrast , and before u know it procedure is done! No I do not have one but I am part of the crew who places them daily lol. U won't know u have it in!!! Are they putting in a permanent one or a removable???

My vsg is sept 20. I have been drinking the premier protein shakes from Costco ! They are delish!!!!! Think U can get them at sams as well!!! Congrats on ALL ur good news!!!!! Everything happens for a reason...... I'm sure u live by those words now right????
