The hernia? I have read that the surgery can cause them. Worst part about this is my surgeon is very well respected in the bariateix community.

I am not getting in any good at all and barely 10 oz of fluids per day. This is much more than just giving myself time to heal.

Need a second opinion and need to know who your doc is and if they were good. Thanks!

I totally agree. Tht is why I am asking others out there if they had the same problem. Please spread the word for me so I can get opinions.

My sleeve is swollen and tight after almost five weeks post op!!!! Surgeon is saying I may have to have the bypass if it doesn't resolve on its own. Has anyone else had this problem?????? Any suggestions????

UPDATE: I had an X-ray the other day. Barium of course and i puked it all up. But it showed that my sleeve is extremely tight in one spot and that I have a hiatal hernia. They said that if it doesn't start to get better on its own that I may have to have bypass done. I am refusing to do that. I do not want the bypass. Help!!!

What is the procedure called?

I am having the exact same issues. Only a month out, but it is so bad that I am having trouble getting anything down.

Thank you all for the kind words. I wish I could say I am feeling better today, but that is not the case. Tried to make an apt with my surgeon who I found out is on vacation until Monday. Hoping by that time I am over this slump. You all have been so helpful.

I am just so sick all of the time. I feel like I am in my first trimester of pregnancy. I just want this feeling to end. Exhaustion and nausea have taken over my life.

They said I had 4+ key tones in my urine which means I was severely dehydrated. Hoping that since I am now hydrated that the nausea will Go away. Again, all of you hVe been so wonderful. I feel so lucky to have a support system.

My ticker is actually wrong. I am down 55 lbs. I am very happy about that. I am also happy about making the decision to drag myself to the ER for fluids. Hoping this helps.

I have lost a ton already. 30 lbs before surgery and 25 lbs since surgery. BUT....I am having a hard time getting liquids in. I get nauseous every time I eat anything. I am constantly exhausted. I feel like I am back in my first trimester of pregnancy. It sucks. Thank you so much for all of the positive motivation. Please keep the advice and personal stories coming. It really helps.

3 wkd post op and I want my old life back.

22 oz isn't so bad. You will be able to take in more each day and the pain when drinking will go away in the next few days. Try to walk around a bit every few hours. It truly does help.

I am three weeks out. It took about a week for it to be completely gone. Day 6 for me was a huge corner that I turned. It will get better each day, and walking was the only thing that helped me. Force yourself to get up and walk around. It really truly helps.

The other day I divvied out a small bag of Cool ranch Doritos to my kids and had the seasoning on my hands. It was torture. So I feel your pain.

Need ideas.

I am already on an acid reducer. And it is not painful, but weird. I wake up like that. It feels like that all day long. Ugh.
