  1. I'm excited! I meet with my dietician in the morning to see about progressing to puréed/soft foods stage. I'm so ready for stage 3 & 4 because I'm totally turned off by sweets and at this point and chicken broth / Soup is so boring. I can't wait to have a refried bean with tiny wedge of laughing cow cheese or salsa. A cream of something soup. I just want to switch it up. And I can't wait to do Zumba again! My 3wk post op appt is next tues. I'm so excited!! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

  6. Thanks ladies for the well wishes! I'm feeling much better now. My only problem is getting in all the proteins and liquids. My pouch feels super tiny and a shot glass leaves me full for about 20-30 minutes. So it's hard to do the every 15 mins drinking thing. I have my dietician post op appt tues, I'm hoping I can go to puréed foods. It's much easier to get my protein in that way using unflavored unjury. I can tolerate Greek yogurt and mashed potatoes with no problem. I hope everyone is doing well! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

  10. Hi family. I just wanted to check on everyone. I've been very quiet. It's been rough for me starting out. A cold, then thrush, and my picky pouch has issues with the antibiotics. My poor hubby is so worried. I'm sad with a little buyers remorse but I expect that will change when I'm back to feel better. I dislike being sick. I hope all is well. Congrats to any new post op family we have. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

  14. Hi post op family! I know I've been quiet but I'm slowly coming back. How is everyone doing? Me--trying to get over this slight cold I have. coughs and my incisions certainly don't get along. My taste is starting to come back. Now I just have a constant dry mouth no matter how much I drink. :yuck: I'm so over liquids right now. I just want puréed foods. I think I'll be in heaven when I can have applesauce, cream of wheat, and yogurt! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  15. Thanks girl! I have this metallic taste in my mouth.... Ever heard of that?
  16. I'm only 2 days post op and I've got this metallic taste in my mouth. Is this normal?
  17. Hi Post op family! I'm hanging in here at 2 days post op. my pouch doesn't like the celebrate chewables.
  18. Hi family. Sorry it took so long to check back in. Im doing okay. I have pain at my incision sites and my surgery was longer than expected because I had a sliding hernia on my esophagus. the anesthesia took a long time to leave my system. But the nurses said I was leaving tracks on the floor from walking so. I came home last night. It's a struggle to get in all these fluids. But I'm trying! My husband has been great taking care of me. I hope everyone had smooth surgeries and recoveries for yesterday and today.
  19. Hi family. Just wanted to check in. I'm okay but lots of pain.
  20. I know what you meant! Lol...
  21. I'm at the hospital now waiting to be called back. I'm so nervous. I think the anesthesia is what works me up! I'll be checking in with you all soon.
