Leak?
We don't know why I had a leak. I followed the rules and I was the first leak my surgeon has had with a sleeve, This process is scary! The leak, has no doubt made everything a million times worse. I do have moments of regret, because I am a Mom to a 16 month old and I have not been able to nurture my daughter like I want to. I have to lean on my husband, Mom and Sister more than I ever imagined having to do. I can tell you I stand by my decision to have this surgery. I am committed to getting better and I look forward to my future. I am learning a lot... but reality is, that this journey is hard... Just really make sure in your heart its right for you and your life style. Remember complications are rare, but do happen. Make sure to talk to your dr about them and be in tune to your body. I listened to my body and good thing I did.. My symptoms were not typical of a leak. So, had I let it go I would have been even more sick.. I think you'll do great!!! If I can ever help out let me know.... this ride is rough, but I hear its worth it!!!

Leak?
No need to apologize. It's really great to hear that you were successful. It's intimidating to go in and have this talk. But I think it's so important not just for me and learning to be a stronger advocate. But I think it holds a lot of value for her as a dr who may not be completely aware of how it feels to be a patient and endure all of this. This ride has been scary and frustrating. I am thankful to have read your post. It gives me hope that our conversation will be good on Tuesday. But I also need to my back up plan incase things go south. I want SO BADLY to be healthy again. I want to nurture my daughter the way I used to and I want to learn how to care for my body. But I have to have supporting and compassionate care. I cannot flourish if I am unable to talk and ask questions about my body. Thank you for sharing with me. You give me some hope that she will come to get senses and maybe even apologize!? Wishing you all the best!! Sannah

Leak?
Thank you. This has been so hard for me. Even more challenging now that I don't feel like I can ask my dr questions about my body and new life. It's a bummer deal. I am hoping this other surgeon will take me as a patient for my follow up care. I really need people who can support me and be helpful right now. How's your journey going?

Thank you kindly. This has been a very hard two months. Stents ( I had two) were a beast, finally had them removed and have some physical relief. But my emotions are running crazy. I have been on liquids since dec 4th. I am not allowed to drive because the anti-nausea medicine blurts my vision. My surgeon has turned into a nasty lady. I may be switching care over to a new dr.- Leak?

Thank you kindly. Having two stents in place is just real miserable. Last night I took pain meds and slept good. The anti nausea is making my vision blurry. So I hope all is clear.- Looking for inspiration while i heal my leak! Photos?
Hello, Not sure where I left off. But I was re-admitted to hospital for Fluid on my heart and severe dehydration. The two stents are making it hard to consume anything and keep it down. My heat is healing. The cardiologist did a lot of testing and is confident my heart was/is inflamed due to surgery. I am just getting settled in back home. I have been trying remain positive, but have times When I just cry. I am on a twenty day countdown until the 25th On this day I will get my stents REMOVED or REPLACED!! What a nightmare if they have to be replaced. I hope all is clear because the anti nausea is making my vision very blurry. Thank you for all the heartfelt words. You guys lift me up!! Thanks you SO much. Best, Sannah- Looking for inspiration while i heal my leak! Photos?

- Where Is Everyone From?
Portland, Oregon- Admitted to the hospital
Hello, I hope your doing well. Sorry I have been so slow to reply. I had a real hard time changing IV to oral pills and being in the hospital for the holiday was real hard. I have a leak. The dr said a good one!! Care was very prompt. The day I went to the dr I had a ct and when straight down to endoscope for my first stent. I had swallow study and i am allergic to the contrast they use. I was in the hospital for 9 days on antibiotics. As it turns out my stent slipped, so I went back to endoscope and now have two stents in place. Yesterday I met with an infectious disease dr, because he has access to more antibiotics than my dr. I am VERY allergic to antibiotics, and my dr wasn't sure which treatment plan she should use. I was on some antibiotics theough IV at the hospital, but my kidney function was greatly affected and my blood pressure went of out control. I am on pain meds and I hope everything I am writing is coherent. I was able to come home yesterday. I feel pretty okay considering what's been going with my body. I will have these two stents for 6 weeks and then have another endoscope to either remove both stents or replace them. I have a lot of antibiotics to take here at home and other medicine. I don't like to take medicine, so this is hard for me. I generally feel exhausted and tired. But keeping my spirits up! one day at a time. Thank you kindly for all the support. Best, Sannah- Admitted to the hospital
I had a low dull back ache that was positional. Then at the 5th day I developed fever. Pelvis hurt like I had the flue.- Looking for inspiration while i heal my leak! Photos?
Yesterday was REAL HARD. I met with an infectious disease dr, because I am so allergic to antibiotics that my dr and her team were not sure what to do for me. The infectious disease dr has access to different classes of antibiotics. They also took me off the IV yesterday and move be to all pills. It was very hard and painful. Today my kidney function is pretty much normal and WBC's are normal. I am still on a lot of drugs; will be for a while. I follow up with my dr on Thursday. Unfortunately with two stents eating real food isn't an option. So I will be on liquid for a while. I have to keep the stents for 6 weeks. Then the dr will see If I am healing of if I need a new stent in place. I am on medicine so I hope all is clear. Sorry if its not. Trying to keep the pain under control. I am wishing you guys a restful evening. As I get better i will be able to reply to the other posts. Life is so slow right now. Thank you kindly from the bottom of my heart for all the warmth and support. This bump in the road wouldn't have been as easy without such support. Best, Sannah- Home...
