I mix the shots with water--one shot with three tubes of Water and pour over ice. not the greatest, but it helps.
Watch out on the sugar free candies. Some people get diarrhea from them-ick!! Foul smelling gas, too.
I add Davinci sugar free syrups to my shakes, and it helps. Also, buying Atkins shakes or EAS advantage helps.

No one said they were amazing (I did say you could find them on AMAZON, did you confuse amazing for amazon?). But they are pretty close to amazing anyhow, compared to the shakes. Plus you get a good dose of Protein, which does fill you up

Today is exactly one week since I've been banded. Let me just say it has not been a great week by any means and for me the 5th and 6th day were the hardest. I still have some swelling and gas that just won't go away, but for the most part I'm getting better everyday. Although I struggle daily with hunger and what to eat as the protein shakes are getting sooo old and leave an awful after taste in my mouth now. I'm suppose to be on the liquid diet for one more week and have no clue how I'm going to get through it. I go see the doc on Monday and I plan on begging to be put on mushy foods....I might even cry if he says no!!! lol!! All kidding aside....I feel like I just NEED...NOT want....NEED solid food. Is there anyone else out there feeling this way??? Just wondering why I can't hack it when others seem to have no problem. ????

I found it very hard to follow all the rules before my surgery. Why don't you just pick one or two that will really pay off for you later? The major thing I did was quit diet soda. That was huge for me because I was so addicted. I replaced it with drinking lots of Water. So, then, I followed two rules! That's enough. It's good that you know what the rules are but just do what you can right now. It's better to succeed with one rule than to fail at all of them all, right?
The exception to all this is... when you do get scheduled for surgery, concentrate on doing well on your pre-op diet because it really will make your surgery safer if you can reduce the size of your liver.
