I am 6 months post op and I have lost 84 pounds. I lost about a pound per day for the first month. I also walk at least 3 times per week and do weights 3 times per week. Everyone is different but no matter what kind of surgery you have, you have to follow the program to be successful.

I believe you will do just fine...I have not had any problems I pretty much eat the same foods I did before the surgery (but waaayyyy smaller portions) I have not had any dumping (just the opposite constipation) I just make sure I eat small amounts, chew, chew, chew and eat slowly..... Good luck with your surgery you will be glad later.

I had my operation 6 months ago and go for my first 6 month check up on May 24. I have not had any problems except for constipation. I walk 2 miles in the morning and 2 miles in the evening five days a week and lift weights 3 days a week. I drink nothing but water or a protein drink with skim milk. I tried to take metamucil but it made my problem worse, the pressure in my lower back got so bad that I could not even urinate. I went to my primary care and was told to drink Mirilax daily, this helped a little. I have pressure in my lower back and abdominal area, when I do go to the bathroom I don't really clean out, it feels as if I still need to go all the time. This is a terrible topic I know but I am at my wits end, I am so looking forward to the check up. just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem?
