My surgeon gave me a list. I made an appointment with a clinical social worker that they recommend.

My doctor recommended some clinical social workers who charge a flat fee of $100. Really excited about that.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad your husband is doing better. I have Aetna myself. I'm nervous about gaining. I stopped taking my blood pressure pills/water pills. Once I started taking them again, I lost 7 lbs in 2 days. Maybe you can go to one more month of nut visists and submit it agin with the last 3 months. Good luck!

Sounds like you are on the ball. You have done a lot in 2 weeks. This time will fly by.

So I called Aetna, they have no ide what they are doing. I called the pre-cert department, they could not answer my question. I called my surgeon's office and spoke the financial rep. She assured me it was ok that I used a social worker as long as the letter was on their letterhead. I go tomorrow. Hopefully, I can leave with the letter and not have them fax it. I would rather have the origional and fexa copy to the surgeon.

Has anybody used a social worker for the eval? My surgery center said it's ok and gave me a list of questions to give him. Just checking to see if anybody has used one an was there an issue. Thanks in advance.

I haven't gotten surgery yet and I have the 3 month supervised diet as well. I know I only need to get through the 3 visits, then they will submit. Hopefully that's the case with you.

@@dreamgirl45, I have told just a few people about my surgery. I am shooting for late August, early September depending on the insurance. The most important people, mother, hubby, close sorority sister and her mom are on board. I told a friend and the first think she said was, No, don't do that! Who told u that you needed that? I told her, I made this decision and based on my BMI of 47, it's a good thing for me, I want to be around for my son. She's not convinced because she has lost 50 lbs since January. I told her that I've tried diets and I know I will gain it back. I've made my decision and I'm sticking to it.

I went to Ochsner, Dr. James B. Wooldridge. I've had not one problem. Not one. @@yolicious1, that's great. I hope I have the same. I will be at Baton Rouge General with Dr. Jonathan Taylor. Shooting for a September date. I am just starting my 3 month diet with the nutritionist.
