  1. Thank you! You guts share a wealth of information from your experiences. Experience is the best teacher. It's nice to have somewhere to come to talk to like minded people. I don't know about you guys but this whole process consumes me, I think about it day and night. It's hard to talk to your spouse, family members or friends who don't understand your struggle, not to say they don't support you though. We can talk about this all day without a second thought.
  2. Can anyone help me with how I must pay my deductible an so forth. I have Cigna as well. Cigna said I will have a hospital copay of 250 a deductible of 200 and my Out of pocket is 1500. Do all these monies have to be paid in full before surgery can take place?

  5. Will do.....isn't it amazing all the different responses. Uggh can't wait to get through this next 3 or 6 months.
  6. Where are you guys located, I called Cigna this morning and they said it was still 6months. Maybe its different per region. I'm gonna keep checking cause that would be great.
  7. Hey we can go through it together, I'm just beginning my 6mths, for the second time, now I'm ready and will just take one day at a time. Focusing on my six months down the line makes me to anxious.
  8. FMLA would go into play if you have been at your job for one year. However STD should definitely kick in for six weeks and you should still be paid with it. Check with your HR dept. Best of luck
  9. Hey I'm in Memphis too, would love to have someone close going through the process as well. I am a 31 test old SAHM, children ages 9, 7, 5, 3. This is like my 2nd time beginning the process for weight loss surgery. First time I was going for gastric bypass and was afraid and backed out. Now I've learned about the vsg and have seen a close fam member have success so....y not. I had my first sup. doctors visit on 5/16, five more to go plus the psych + the nutrional assessment and whatever else they deem necessary. How did you guys cope with the anxiety of being so close, yet so far away from approval, surgery etc?
