banded in 2003...tons of fills...I am up 30lbs

same thing happened to me last year! i found out that i was taking toooo many Tums before I went to bed (my acid reflux was HORRIBLE). I now only take my priolosec and ONE tums. Not so much aspirating in my sleep anymore

Can you tell me about your experience with Dr. Brad Watkins? I need a removal and would like to hear about your surgery

I have had at least 15 fills all under fluro. I get stuck sometimes (i.e. pita bread, mushrooms, etc) but I never get that "full feeling". I wish that I had used that $15000+ on a psychologist instead :frown: Anywho...like all of my failed attempts, I blame myself. I do not encourage any of my friends to get banded...but they do it anyway. Many of them have lost A LOT of weight...

Hi friends! tell me which doctor you used to remove your band. I just can't take it anymore. The GERD and I asperate in my sleep is killing me. I do not have the money to do it but I JUST have to find a way to have it removed. My original doctor quoted me: $5600 (plus airfare to Mexico) Doctor in Ohio at the Cincinnati Weight Loss Center quoted me at $5500 plus air and hotel Who did you use, how long was the operation and what were your total costs?

I really would like to know how many have been removed, too. I would say a far greater number than we would be lead to believe. I DESPERATELY want mine removed due to GERD and aspiration...but it costs wayyyyy tooooo much and I am a stay at home mom now (with no income).:frown:

well....it has been 6 years with NO weight loss whatsoever. just didn't work for me PLUS I have the WORST acid reflux EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! I am ready to be DE Banded! Who would you use to have it removed? I loved my doctor in Mexico...but after reading the latest posts...it sounds as if he has had a few UNSATISIFIED customers! Anyone else planning on getting theirs removed? I would LOVE to have a buddy having the same procedure!

I will be going to Moultrie September 1st! THIS SATURDAY!!! I have all of my fills (except my very first one) under fluro...so, I am very glad that she does it that way! I live about 45 minutes from Moultrie!

HI! Some days, I love staying home...other days, I can't wait for my husband to get home!!! It's wierd! I am soooooo thankful that I got to take my son to his first day of Kindergarten 2 weeks ago! It was a beautiful moment! My "almost 2 year old" and I have a good time together! I send her to Parents Morning Out a few days a week...and I do stuff at my church while she is there (only 3 hours a day). We started Mommy and Me gymnastics, which I LOVE!!! I am very blessed!

Thank you Pam (drying the tears from my eyes!)! I go next Saturday! If you are spiritual, PLEASE say a prayer for me! SERIOUSLY! My Fill doc was a great guy...but he was VERY inexperienced! I knew that going in! He used to tell me that I was "so cute" and not to worry if I did not lose the weight! He is a sweet talker! "So full of personality...So cute" is what he would say! NO KIDDING! He also didn't understand the band that I had, either! I even brought the box that the band came in that said 11.0CM! GEESH! Thanks for being sweet, Pam! I do not even know where to get started! Maybe a shake replacement once a day??!! GROSS!

This will be the FillCentersUSA test! I have been banded since November 2003. I have never had restriction...EVER...lost NO WEIGHT in 4 years! I have an appointment with Darlene next weekend! If she can do it (after 6 different fills in the past with NO results)...I will praise her and praise her! I will post back next week! WISH ME MUCH LUCK :clap2:
