  2. We had to stop on the way home from the hospital and get a recliner. It's the only way I can sleep... Jessica
  3. Has anyone hurt just to the left of their belly button on the inside? I'm assuming it's where my intestines are stitched at the bottom. It's a burning pain. I called my surgeon's office and they said most people experience pain on the left side. Please help!!! Jessica
  4. Yippie!!! You'll do fine! I'm excited for you and our group! Thoughts and prayers are with you, keep us posted! <3 ya... Jessica

  7. Hello everyone... Boy we've had our share of ups and downs, September to remember indeed! At least everyone that had surgery came out alive! I've noticed that on this stage (full liquid) I have no limit. I mean I can drink or have pudding and not get full. I accidentally took more than a sip and did fine. I know liquids don't sit in your pouch like puree or regular food but I need a limit. I can eat four ounces of pudding right after drinking a large amount. I've experienced dumping already, not by choice. They gave me nsa yogurt in the hospital five days after surgery. Soooooo sick! I was just wondering how everyone is doing with the amount they can take in? What about protein? Required liquid intake? Jessica
  8. I know everyone's pain is different and everyone heals different but at what point do you really start to feel "better?" I'm a week post-op and just want to feel better! I have this itchy, burning pain under my skin to the left of my belly button. I'm assuming it's where my intestines were reattached. Jessica
  9. I've noticed some smells make me nauseated. My husband fixed himself a chicken sandwich and the smell of it cooking made me dry heave. I hope we can enjoy food again one day! Jessica

  14. Had an emotional breakdown today.... I was actually crying for an epidural...lol. Had just been to the bathroom, I started to go back and froze with pain. I couldn't move. Just started crying on my husband's chest. Pain meds are great! If I had waited ten more minutes, I could have prevented all that. FYI...Try to plan things around your meds! Jessica
