  1. My surgery is scheduled in 3 weeks... so EXCITED! I am having surgery outside of the US and staying oversees for 1 month with family. I really really need suggestions as to what to pack--- being that I am staying oversees for one whole month. I'm afraid that things won't be as accessible as they are here in the States. HELP!
  2. I'm not telling anyone... except for the select few of course--- my husband, my mother, and my sister. Frankly, it's your decision.
  3. Hello everyone! My name is Loren. I am 5'4" and weigh 195. I'm self-pay and flying to the Dominican Republic on July 1st. My goal weight is 135. Is this reasonable? My lowest weight as an adult was 145 at 19 years old-- I was literally starving myself and taking all kinds of "supplements". Please keep posting your updates on this group page.
  4. Hate my arms My bmi is 34.5, but my arms have loose skin from the YoYo dieting. I have a feeling they r really going to be bad after wls! Any alternatives other than surgery that leaves that long ugly scar??
  5. Sharnae, Thanks for responding! Keep me posted! Good luck!
  6. Had my 2nd child in January. Surgery is scheduled for July. Six months is reasonable? Worried about not being able to carry baby ?
  7. That's how it is in the DOminican Republic as well. I'm having some of the lab work here in the US to save time and money... My surgery is scheduled for the first week of July in DR.
  8. Hi! I'm 5'4" and weigh 200 pounds. My goal weight is also 135. My surgery is scheduled for the first week of July, super excited! We will probably lose slower than everyone else, but I don't think that 135 is an unrealistic goal for both of us. We will have to put forth effort!
  9. I was wondering the same thing. I'd like to wear mine ASAP after the surgery. How soon can I wear one without irritating my incisions?
  10. I did Zumba a couple of years back and I was really successful with weightloss. In one month I dropped almost 15 pounds w/o really dieting! I can't wait to get back into the gym after WLS in July. I truly miss it.
  11. First week of July in the Doninican Republic.
  12. I hear ya! I can't wait until my hubby can actually carry me! Like in the movies... Ha!
  13. Is it ok to apply Maderma on incision scars? If so, how soon after surgery?
  14. I am scheduled for surgery first week of July in the Dominican Republic. I am staying with family for the entire month. What do you suggest I pack?
  15. Hello everyone, This is my very first post. I am 5'4" and weigh almost 200 pounds. I am having the VSG surgery in the DR, self-pay in July. I know that less heavy people loose at a slower pace... but how much can I expect to loose. I want to set my goal at 135 or 140. My husband doesnt think I need it, but only I know m struggles. I wish he was more supportive like the rest of my immediiate family. My weight has been an issue all of my life. I have PCOS and am also afraid this might slow my weight loss.
