    Where Is Everyone?!?!?!

I've been pretty open about it. The truth comes out eventually. But I understand the thought of keeping quiet as well - it is a private thing. I've had nothing but support, so I'd encourage being open about it. I was back at work 4 days post-op. Walking is good for you... i will say that I felt tired for a few weeks, but otherwise was fine. Everyone is different though.
  2. Hey everybody... Doing great. Sleeved on 6/25, so this week is my 3 month anniversary. So far I have lost a total of 98 lbs. 35 pre-op and 63 post-op. No complaints whatsoever. I've slowly increased my activity level so I'm now walking, biking or doing elliptical nearly every day. I've just started light resistance training as well. I've dropped from XXL shirts to L and 44 waist pants to 34. Life is good and getting better. I have about 22-32 pounds to goal (somewhere in the 165-175 region would be normal BMI for me). Luckily, I've never had a stall last longer than 2-3 days, usually when I ramp up my workouts the weightloss stops as I retain Water, probably for muscle repair/growth (my theory). With increased exercise I'm hitting closer to 800cals/day typically. Tom

    Where Is Everyone?!?!?!

Hi - I had surgery this past Monday, June 25th, in Mexico with Dr. Aceves. I'm home in the Twin Cities, and feeling GREAT. It was a fantastic experience. I was able to go back to work yesterday (4 days post op) but of course I have an easy desk job, so not much different than sitting at home.
  4. I was sleeved on Monday the 24th, by Dr. Aceves in Mexicali. Absolutely great experience. I would recommend it to anyone. The operation is smooth, personal, friendly, and easy. I had virtually no pain at any time. I'm currently on my flight home, and feeling just great.
  5. 12 hours post-op. My surgeon is Aceves, in Mexicali. So far, every expectation has been exceeded. Post surgery i've seen both of my doctors (Aceves and Campos) twice. EVerything went well, and continues to do so. So far, so good!
  6. I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened. -- Mark Twain If I had my life to live over, I would perhaps have more actual troubles but I'd have fewer imaginary ones. -- Don Herold Let us be of good cheer, remembering that the misfortunes hardest to bear are those which will never happen. -- James Russel Lowell People gather bundles of sticks to build bridges they never cross. -- Unknown Some of your hurts you have cured, And the sharpest you still have survived, But what torments of grief you endured From the evil which never arrived. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson Some men storm imaginary Alps all their lives, and die in the foothills cursing difficulties which do not exist. -- Edgar Watson Howe How much pain they have cost us, the evils which have never happened. -- Thomas Jefferson There are people who are always anticipating trouble, and in this way they manage to enjoy many sorrows that never really happen to them. -- Josh Billings There are more things, Lucilius, that frighten us than injure us, and we suffer more in imagination than in reality. -- Seneca My life has been full of terrible misfortunes most of which never happened. -- Michel de Montaigne Pick one. :) _
