  1. LOL! I feel the same. I have cried more this past week than I have in a year. Time to deal without a meal....very hard.
  2. I am so thankful for all your responses. Lots of wisdom out there and helps to feel you are not struggling alone.
  3. I agree completely! I will tell everyone, anyone and hope that it helps. Obesity is a disease, just like heart disease--cancer--COPD, and until we start treating it as aggressively as we treat other illnessess, it will continue to devastate our society. Nobody blinks an eye when someone with heart disease has coronary artery bypass--it is a huge double standard.
  4. Does anyone do Herbal LIfe? They have a protein powder that is fabulous.
  5. So dissappointing! Hang in there...
  6. Thank you. I am starving now, but I will stick to liquids--only 4 more days to go, so surely I can. When I started out, I was so sure I was doing the right thing...so this uncertainty is disconcerting...not backing out, just frozen ice blocks for feet. So nice to hear I'm not the only one who has had second thoughts at this point.
  7. I am so excited, nervous and nauseated.....my surgery is on Monday and I am second guessing everything. I haven't done well with the pre-op liquid diet---so hard not to eat anything at all--does this mean I won't be able to make it after the sleeve? I lost 8 pounds, then binged on the weekend and gained 4 of those pounds back. Very disgusted with myself. Am I fooling myself to think I will be successful with the sleeve. Any advice?
  8. I'm gonna follow this and hope for some good answers. I'll have my sleeve done on May 5th.
  9. I am scheduled with Dr. Alvarez on May 7th. I would be curious to know if anyon shares my surger date as well. Good luck finding a buddy!
  10. Sorry, before or after the sleeve? New to this....
  11. I think at this point, we are supposed to be more worried about calories. My surgeon wants me to stay between 800 and 1000 calories on liquids for 2 weeks.
