  1. Going back to work Monday so after three weeks in stretchy shorts/pants I thought I better try on my work cloths to make sure I have something that fits. Well they are all 22/24 and 2 and 3X. All way to big. I went and friend on cloths and in a size 18w. I am so excited!!!!!! Love my sleeve.
  2. Well I went to dr yesterday for my post op visit. I am feeling so much better and doing better at getting my fluids in. Still struggling with proteins but working on it. Lost 30 pounds to date. I am super excited.
  3. Thanks for all the words of encouragment. I know it will get better I just have to hang in there. I see people on here that go back to work a week out and I feel like a wimp. I guess we all heal at different stages. I have the patch on but it is not working so well. As they this to shall pass.
  4. Well had surgery on 6/6 and released from hospital on 6/8. I have blurry vision and started running fever last night. Went to dr this morning because I can't get anything down due to nausea. He sent me back to hospital for fluids. I am dehydrated and have a UTI. Yuck. I have to go back to hospital 2 times a week for 3 weeks for fluid. Hope this gets better soon!!!!!
  5. Did anyone have trouble with eyes? I had surgery on 6/6 and I wearing contacts. Yesterday I had trouble reading and still today.
  6. Actually the first sips were fine and no pain at all. Starting to release a lot of gas though today. Lol.
  7. Chrissy. Pain is getting better. Yesterday morning I was thinking what did I do to myself. But today it is better and I am sure it will continue to get better. No drain either so I was excited about that. Pain isostly on right side but surgeon said that is where they took the stomach out of so that is natural. I could have stayed one more day but i was ready to be in my own bed. Lol. Good luck!!!
  8. Was sleeved on 6/6. Back at home today. It was a rough couple days but feeling better and better. Glad to have started my journey. Trying to get all fluids in is very hard. But I have a great support system.

  11. Artsy thank you. I just need to remember I am going to come across these type of people and not let them get to me. The hardest part is yet to come on telling my family. Brothers and sisters and mother. My sisters are so judgemental and will tell me I should just take meds and excerise again not understanding what I have been dealing with my entire life. Today I was thinking and questioning if I am doing the right thing. But I am doing it for me and no one else so it is right.
  12. As the days get closer to surgery date the more nervous I become. I have struggled my entire life with my weight. I am 41 and have fibromyalgia. Constant pain is awful but with hope that I get some weight off I will feel better. I have sleep apnea also. My husband is very supportive. It I have not told any of my other family. In fear of the judgemental. Comments I will receive. I went into a GNC type store last night to get sample protein shakes and the lady in there says I don't understand why you don't just walk to lose the weight. I was very offended. I am glad I have this forum to have people go through this with me and be supportive. Thanks.
  13. My date and journey begins June 6. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I love reading all the post and seeing everyone's journey thus far. My preop test are next week. I have had 4 nutritionist meetings and been to 2 preop support groups. Love that I can share this with all of you and we can lose together.
