  1. Awesome Job! It truly will get easier and you go along. I have conquered the whole head-hunger thing by doing this in advance and I think that will make life post op so much easier for us. Youre inspiring! Best of luck and keep us posted.
  2. Just remember that in a few months you will be able to go and eat with them and not feel like you have to clear your plate. This liquid phase is a killer but it will be over before we know it. When is your surgery?
  3. I would love to. What is it? Glad to day has started out better.
  4. Praying for you. You can do this. Just take it one day at a time. This is the beginning of an exciting adventure. We can do this!
  5. I am on day three. I am so tired. I am on two weeks full and clear liquids only. I can not tolerate any shakes. I am living on isopure. I hope I don't get sick of it too fast. I am not hungry which is really weird. I figured I would be starving. I added up my calories today and I only had 360 which why I am tired I guess. But since I am not hungry I stop eating after I get all of my protein in.
  6. Yesterday, after my EGD, I went to my surgeons office to meet with my nutritionist and the scheduler said there had been a mistake and I was not scheduled at the hospital for the 28th. They told me I was going to have to get it done a few weeks later. I lost it! I began sobbing right there in the waiting room. My family has scheduled their entire summers around my surgery and the week of the 28th is the only week I will have the support I need for my little kids. My office manager called me last night around 6:30 and said they would work it out but I might get pushed to the 29th. I was so devastated. I am self pay so I have worked really hard to get all my pre op stuff done within the past four weeks. I have also been killing myself to be in the best shape possible for my surgery and to think that I wasn't able to get it done was heart breaking. I am praying for the 28th but I will take the 29th as long as I get it done in June!
  7. I am scheduled for June 28. I saw my surgeon for the first time on April 26 and since that day I have not put a bite of carbs (except fruit and veggies) in my mouth or had a soda. I am down from 295 to 272 today. I have my EGD tomorrow an then this weekend I am off to Vegas. I keep going around and around in my head about what I will eat in Vegas. Part of me wants to have one last meal- anything I want before I start my shakes on the 14th. The other part of me is so proud of what I have accomplished that I don't want to sabotage myself by having carbs. I really want to be in the 250's on Sleeve day but that might be wishful thinking. I am so anxious and excited! At least I will be passing the time in Vegas!
  8. Eileen, I think about that too. I am most afraid that I will fail at this like I have every other diet. My good friend had the surgery last July an has already lost 100 pounds. She said that she no longer craves the things that she shouldn't have because when she did try them they made her feel so lousy. She said that she had the same fears. I think that food has just been so important to us that we can't even wrap our brains around not needing it for comfort and entertainment. I feel almost like food has me held captive and finally after the surgery I will be in control, not the food.
  9. That's great Eileen! I am trying to lose weight right now too. I am at 295 and really want to be closer to 275 when I have my surgery. This week I cut out complex carbs and fried food. Last week I cut out soda, that has been rough (serious caffeine headaches) I am going to try and stick with this until the 2 weeks before when I start my liquids. It seems like an eternity until the end of June!
  10. I am a June Sleever teacher too. I am scheduled for the 28th.
  11. Not really, I am just excited and anxious to start my new life.
  12. I am scheduled for June 28. I am so ready!
