  1. Hi everyone! Well I was sleeved one week ago, 6/18. When I first started this journey I was 262 but averaged 255 for the past year. The day of my surgery I was 246 and today I am 233. The first three days were not good! I was miserable, in pain, and had buyers remorse! Then Thursday, I totally jumped out of bed and felt energized. On Friday I was feeling awesome. Saturday was hard because my mom and sister came to visit me from out of town and she cooked for the whole family and I really wanted an enchilda! to the point of almost crying... But she also made me Soup and it was wonderful. My mom left on Sunday but physically I was feeling awesome. I went to several store but I was not in the mood to shop (in my case that is very rare). Today I made an executive decision to go back to work. I truly cannot be home! I have been surviving on pudding, yogurt, and strained Soups. Oh and I went to a Mexican Restaurant and ordered Menudo but asked them to leave out the meat and hominy... after the weird look from the cook, I explained that I was fresh out of surgery and I cannot eat that. OMG! it was soooo good! I had about 3 oz of it and I did not get sick, despite how spicy it was. I know I need to stay away from spicy food but dang it, it was worth it! Anyway, my clothes are fitting looser and my face is looking skinny! I continue to take my bariatric Vitamin (mulit, Calcium, Iron, and b12 sublingual). I try to drink all the Water I possibly can but I am sure that I don't drink enough. I don't think I am dehydrated though because I pee a lot. Oh NSV: I am not longer on metformin, glipizide, blood pressure and high cholesterol meds!!!!! I check my blood pressure once a day and my glucose levels and they have been withing normal range! AMAZING!! My first goal was achieved right after surgery! If anyone has any questions, please let me know, I am sure I have forgot to mention a lot of stuff. Have an awesome day everyone!! Sorry for the long post, I couldn't stop typing.
  2. Hi Lolo! Too bad about the gas pain. I am sure each day will get better for you. Hang tight! Before you know it you will be feeling amazing. if you have emotional issues then maybe you should consider a support group or even counceling. I know I may need some too. Well best of luck to you on your journey!

  4. So I was sleeved a week ago and I am now on full liquids. Sometimes for lunch I have very runny Soup or broths so my Q is do I still need to wait 30 minutes for Water? Also can I continue to have broth as my liquid? I had menudo broth at a restaurant and it was so good but I have so much left and I kinda wana keep sipping on it. Thanks so much
  5. Hi! I wasn't sleeping to well either but I assumed it was because I slept a lot the first few days. Each day I am sleeping longer though! Hang in there! Each day does get better!

  7. because I am not hungry at all, however when I left the house today I started seeing mcdonalds billboards and smelling all the aromas of the nearby restaurants! Then I started to want to eat all these bad foods again! Geesh! Do any of you have these struggles!

  9. thanks Mina! I was lucky not to have a drain. My incisions are no where near my waist line. honestly today was the first day I felt comfortable wearing a bra. At this rate I don't think my bras will be fitting me much longer hehe!
  10. Today I woke up feeling much better. I slept longer and ate a little more. My surgery was on monday and I was 246 now I am 234. My rings and jeans are feeling loose too. My kids say that they can tell the weight loss on my face. Things are looking good!! Now I am just waiting for my incisions to heal and that will make a world of a difference. It really helped to come on this forum and read words of encouragements. THANKS to all of you who respond! Have a blessed day everyone!
  11. Hi slim! Happy to hear you are doing good! I am recovering as well but I am tired of being tired! Eating has gotten better! Incisions still hurt though... Can't wait for a good night sleep.
  12. Hi Chrissy I use Bariatric Advantage. They have different flavors that dissolve in you mouth. Most are good like the cinnamon calcium!
  13. Hi Sleeve buddy! My operation went well! I was operated at 4 pm and released the following day at 10:30. Doctor asked if I wanted to stay longer but I said no. I had no gas pains and managed to drink all my water. So glad you are doing better slim :-)
  14. Everything went well just having trouble sleeping due to incisions. I can only eat jello and like a teaspoon of it. Just started my vitamins. Taking things slow. I drank my pain meds too fast and almost barfed but managed to keep it in. well thats all I have for now. Hope you are all doing well.
