  4. I had my surgery 6/12/12! So right there with you. I started walking the day after surgery, By week two I was walking about 2 1/2 miles a day. I too wrote everything down that I ate. Getting in about 900-1000 a day. The weight was coming off super slow down a pound up half a pound. Total of like 6! Ugh Couldn't understand why? I was eating less working out more so why so little? So I tried a little experiment . Did opposite of what I had done last two weeks. Did not walk for three days, did arm weights ( light) kept on same calorie intake and have lost another 4 1/2 lbs! So my theory, I was working off every calorie I consumed. Leaving my body to go into the mode of hang on to what you got, because your not keeping it fueled appropriately. Not to mention just changing up routine to jolt body into another mode. So today back to walking and this is also the last day of liquids for me. Tomorrow will be interesting. Just not sure what sounds appetizing or "safe"! I'm so used to yogurt cottage cheese and muscle milk! So I am curious myself to see how week 4 will go. Hoping I continue to lose, I am happy with 2 A week. Just hope my theory was right!:-) Good luck. I am in need of a buddy and you seem to be in the same boat as me, Keep in touch!
  5. I have hypothyroidism too. I can tell when doses are off. I am thinking its off now. Heart racing lately. I know the signs and symptoms of both hypo and hyper. Maybe this surgery jacks up hormones and changes occur. How long ago did you get banded?
  6. I was banded a week ago. I only told my husband and bff. I didn't have to do a preop diet and I only made the cut by a BMI of 34. But like many of you I have lost and regained over and over. Also as for not telling people? I didn't want to be judged or told that "you have done it before just do it again"! Errr I called in sick on Tuesday and went to work on Friday. (must have been the flu) haha! I needed this. I'm still sore at the port, but otherwise doing better then expected. I think of this as a second chance and I am going to do my part while the band does its part! I still call it "IT" still haven't come up with a name for my new friend! Lol

  8. It sounds like you are to tight. I was banded 6/12/12 an post op day 3, I was in the office because I was having pressure with anything I drank/ate. I felt like just the ibuprofen that I would break in half felt like a lump stuck in my chest. My Dr. Said I had 3cc's in there! He took 1cc out and WOW what a difference! I still have "tight" days, but I to live in very hot/dry weather. I was also told if you fly you will feel tight. I will find out in July if that is true. Call your doc, they told me I should be more comfortable after "defill" and I did! Good luck.
  9. I was banded one week ago today. I feel really good for the most part. I was back at work on Friday out of feeling guilty. The morning of surgery I just called in sick on and told them I wasn't feeling good. I still have the nagging pain in my upper left shoulder/neck area. I have walked everyday since surgery anywhere from 1/2 mile to 2 miles , so far so good!
