    Ready To Give Up

I understand exactly how you feel! I couldn't understand why all of the bad carbs would just go down and the healthy foods seem to get stuck! I was banded in July of 2011. I lost about 20 Pre op on my liquid diet and I'm now at a total. Loss of 48 lbs. It's been a roller coaster for me to figure out what my perfect fill is! At 9cc in my 11cc band I felt like I was never full. I had to really chew and take small bites or some things got stuck. Because I wasn't feeling full I thought I needed another fill. I am having my last .5 removed today. I think my biggest mistake has been not enough protein to help with the fullness. My band does fluctuate like the weather. That's something I never expected! I'm hanging in there. You've got me beat on the exercise! Good for you with that! I need to make the commitment to myself to exercise! It's not easy but I think with determination we can reach our goals in our own time!

    Yellow To Green Zone

I am also having trouble knowing what the "green zone" is. I also have to make myself stop eating rather than feeling "full". And some weeks, like last, I can only eat a small amount and stay full. And things that normally go down, come up or get stuck. During these times of it comes up, I get a slimy substance too. I've read here that's due to eating to fast or not chewing enough? Then this week, I am starving and feel like I have no restriction. The fluctuation is strange week to week. I'm glad to know ok not the only one, but it's frustrating bc since my surgery July 2011, I've lat only 48. 10 of those pounds was in the Pre-op diet phase. And since Feb.2012 I've gained 2 pounds. I'm due for another fill the first week of May and I too am not sure of I need it. I do need to learn to eat slower/smaller bites. I also don't drink enough water maybe. I'm drinking about 30oz a day. So, I need to try and do better and see if that helps, but I doubt it will change the fluctuation!

    Frustraaaaated!! Arrrrgggh!!! >:(

Hello. I totally understand being discouraged. I had my surgery last July 2011. It's now almost May and I've lost 48 pounds total. I lost 10 Pre surgery with the liquid diet. I have an 11cc Band with 9.25 in now. I am not sure when I'll be in my "green zone". I can tell I am eating a little less than before the bAnd but I am still hungry too soon between meals and also am able to eat more than a cup- cup & half at meals. Also, I experience times when things get stuck(if I eat too quickly or too big of a bite). Then other times I can do whatever I want and It doesn't matter! The fluctuation I feel is strange to me. My dr. Says he's heard of this bit doesn't know why it happens. My Dr only added 1 cc. PER MONTH for the first 2 months, then he did 2, then 1 every appt after. And he put ZERO in the band at surgery. So, it's taken me SO LONG to get to any restriction. And I'm still unsure of this is what restriction is??? I have that phlegm sonetimes come up with my first bite or 2 of the day. If isn't realize this is bc of eating too quickly?? I have a lot to learn still, but I can say it takes a long time for me as it is for you too. Best of luck!
