  1. Try sipping on some water or water down juice first and then try to some hours later, I have never been a breakfast person but I do drink a protein shake in the morning and keep it moving. Your body might not want food that early. I hope this helped, I have only been banded for 2 days and I'm still sipping and forcing myself at that I am just not hungry at all, I'm only sipping on 4tsp of liquids every hour just so that I do not get sick:-(
  2. I'm passing so much Gas I had to make sure that I did not crap in my pants:-) LOL Wow the little things that make LB (Lap Band) people happy. Lol I just might have to start selling gas. HAHAHAHA! I'm cracking myself up.
  3. This is the MiraLax that I'm sipping on and it is really helping me out.
  4. Yes it the MiraLax that is tasteless and clear.
  5. I have been passing some really good gas, the thanks to the Gas X extra strength dissolvable strips and MiraLax is really work, I have never been so happy about passing gas. LOL! I'm walking around a lot and sipping on water. 2 days Post-Op what a relief.
  6. I'm taking 1 every 2-3 hours it's working but it feels like something is pitching my left shoulder, I get some relief and I'm also taking Miralax to help me with a bowel movement. I feel the gas moving and its coming out from the other end. Lol
  7. Yes it's in my left side as well I'm using the Gas X dissolvable strips and they are really pushing the gas out, it the air that they fill up you lower cavity to get to the stomach. Yes I'm feeling the same thing a lot of discomfort.
  8. It's looks great to me I'm a Nurse, remember that you are healing from the inside to the out. Let the strip stay on until they fall off on there own, trust your site looks good. Don't worry just heal healthy. Pat it dry and clean softly around it with a antibacterial soap, you can use the hand soap from Wal-Mart it cost less than a $1.00 your doing great.
  9. Yes the Gas X and Miralax works great with walking every 30mins I'm 1 day post-op and I really good, you have to move move move, trust me I'm a nurse and walking will move that gas around. Laying in the bed is a bad thing and will only keep the gas in. Fill better soon keep me posted on how things are going.
  10. I'm feeling great so far, the gas is moving fast the walking Gas X dissolvable extra strength strips and the Miralax is really helping. Sipping on clear liquids and Walking and more walking. Thank God that my Post-Op is going well. Woohoo!
  11. Try ground turkey I haven't eaten ground beef in 15 years or more, it's hard to break down.
  12. Yes yes yes you have to keep walking around as much as you can, even if you don't want to and have your bowels moved yet?

  16. Try some fresh Veggie, oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat, Tofu, and polish meat in the can, refried beans, pudding, soft eggs, there are many soft foods out there that you can try. Enjoy and glad to hear that your doing good, I had my surgery yesterday morning at 9:am and I feel okay:-)

I'm feeling good just a lot of pressure from the air that was out into my lower cavity of my body, I'm walking around and resting I'm taking Gas X dissolvable strips and Miralax to help with my bowels. Sipping on H2O and Walking Walking. Everything seem to be going just well. Anyone that had there surgery yesterday how are you feeling.

  21. Thank you so much it's so hard going from a Nurse to a patient, but trust me I'm acting just like a patient and my husband is taking wonderful care of me. Thx again praying for a healthy healing for the both of us:-)
