Hello most of you have had surgery and the latest and the last comment on this thread Is for tomorrow surgery. Good luck! I have mine on may 9th just got the call from the hospital to ore register. I'm a bundle of nerves too. I was wondering if any of u got a recommendation to do the lap band and gastric plication from ur doc? Please lmk of u did? If not, lmk how are u feeling please I need some support

I think you should call them. I was like u I never would receive a call and I just called them. My doctors office is always busy probably yours too.

The iband, is what they are calling it. But it's the Lap band and gastric plication. Gastric plication is when the stomach is folded in half and stitched. It looks like the sleeve but without cutting or stapling. I feel like its too much to recover from cuz I do have three kids too and my husband works nights. So I'm basically alone. The doctor suggests me doing this for better results and a little faster in weight loss. But I have researched it's been a few candidates since its still new.

I feel depression now before surgery just trying to prepare what I'm gonna go thru.

My doctor recommended me to get the iband. Have u heard of that? It's when u get a lap band and a new procedure called gastric plication with it. They fold the stomach with stitches to make it smaller and then lap band same kind of incisions. I'm still deciding what to do. Very difficult to decide. Lmk if you heard of it. Thanks

Wow. Congrats I have mine in 3 weeks. Kinda nervous can u give me more input? How does the cc's work I really don't understand that part? Have a great recover I hope mine goes fast too.

Hello I'm new here at lap band forum talk. 3 weeks from today I will be having surgery. I'm sooo confused don't know what to do. I was going for the lap band but after I saw my surgeon yesterday he recommended the gastric plication as well. It's a fairly new process but it's very scary. I want to know who's had this procedure please. Need some more info to see what I decide on doing thank you so much. Hope to meet people here where they can help me. Sandrie
