  1. Thanks GloGirl: I did not mean to ignore your good wishes, I just happened to re-read all entries and noticed you good wishes. I am feeling good, I weighed this morning and am down 12 pounds in 9 days. Oh Baby Baby:heh:
  2. TammyJ Goodluck with surgery. My prayers will be with you. Can't wait to hear from you on Friday. You are on your way to banded land.:kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2:
  3. Sophie248 - My stomach itches like crazy, and my port site is real tender now. I have noticed that the swelling is going down more and more each day. Hope you are improving also.
  4. You will be so happy when it is over. I read all of the things to look forward to on LBT.com and was more than ready. I did my shopping early also and was packed and ready to go. This is a very exciting time in our lives. Hang in there girl - "God Ain't thru with Us Yet"
  5. Tammyj Thank you. Are you excited yet, or just dealing with the pre-op diet?
  6. Hello all March Banders: I had my surgery on Monday 3-5-07, and I am feeling fine. Just a little soreness around the port area. I am back at work - eating my mushies and enjoying every minute of it. I am officially in the worlkd of banders. I thought this day would never come. Can anyone give me infomration on how long this swelling persists and what to expect in the near future. I really missed my correspondence with you all. :heh:
  7. Congratulations on being a new bander. I get my band on Monday and I look forward to the experience. Take care of yourself and heal well.
  8. Texun - I have to pay my deductible plus some office expenses (Total $495.00) All else is covered at 100%. I am so excited about Monday - I don't care if I have shoulder pain or anything else (except regurgitation), I just want my lapband surgery to be done. I have been working on this journey for more than a year now. Hello to all you Northern Texuns. Woo Haa
  9. Congrats to you. I will keep you in my prayers. Be mentally present for the entire experience. Your journey is about to begin. Let us know all aobut your experience as soon as possible.
  10. Plano Texas Girl, I live in McKinney which makes us close enough to stay in touch. I will need a friend to have those yummy protien shakes with during the spring time. Are you banded or are you waiting to be banded?
  11. Texun1 my insurace is United HealthCare. I am on the PPO, so I was able to choose my physician.
  12. You are so right, he has been an angel and will be right by my side during my recovery. He has even promised to walk with me and change his diet once I am able to eat solids. Too bad everyone coule not be as supportive. Makes you wonder sometimes.
  13. My mind is playing tricks on me. I have a bad day then a good day regarding this surgery thing. My husband and child are very supportive. My other family members (father, mother & sisters) are not nearly as supportive. Remarks by my father have made me rethink this surgery several times. I know it is just a very difficult time for any prospective surgery candidate, but I wish I had not shared my surgery date with them. I think they are suffering with their own comfort level having me as the "fat one." Fellow banders, please share your experieinces with me. I need some support at this time. Oh yeah, I am not sure who asked me but I want to reply. My insurance company is United HealthCare. My physician is Dr. Stephen V. Hamn.
  14. My band date is March 5, 2007. Dr. hamn - Plano, Texas. I am so excited I do not know what to do with myself. Of course I have those times when I worry about the outcome, but I just pray and stay as grounded as possible. I llok forward to a hot summer in texas "wearing shorts"!!! Hooray:clap2: Good luck to all you beautiful people :kiss2:
  15. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Don't forget, we are all here for you.
  16. Hello Melissa: I am in McKinney, Texas and my surgery is being done on March 5, 2007 by Dr. Stephen Hamn in Plano. Good luck and stay in touch.
  17. Good Luck on the beginning of a new you. I will be banded soon and look forward to your first post-op posting.
  18. Hello to Everyone: Lapbandtalk feels like home already. I have been reading information since I joined this morning. I am a little nervous, but I am sure this is normal. I have obtained a plethera of useful information from all of you wonderful sister and brother banders. I am ready for my rebirth and look forward to sharing it with all of you.:kiss2:
  19. Hello to everyone. I have one week to go before I have my surgery. I am having all sorts of feelings. I am sure that everyone experiences fear, and confusion about what to expect. I am going to read all of the threads about pre-op and 1 week post-op to get some idea of what to expect. All I ask is support from the group and I wish everyone having surgery soon "Good Luck." Nice to be aboard - heartsmile4_1 :kiss2:
