I have the 4cc band as well and currently have 4.3cc's in. I was told it could hold 5 to 5.5cc's max. Anything above 4.3 for me is really tight. I was banded Jan 07 and have lost all of my excess weight (90 Lbs). So, right now just maintaining. I am sure you will be fine. Keep up the good work and good luck!

Let me just say that it has been a WONDERFUL impact on my marriage. Before I was an 18/20 and not happy with myself at all. Since the surgery I have lost 80 Lbs and down to a size 8! My husband is much more attentive and we are so much happier now. Mostly because I am happier. He said he always loved me no matter what my weight but when I wasnt happy with myself it showed in our relationship. I would do this again in a heartbeat. You look AMAZING!!! Great job and good luck with the last 19! I am with you - I never would have been able to do it without the surgery and would do it again tomorrow in a heart beat!

Hi Paulax, 19 Lbs and counting here. I had another fill yesterday 4.5 in my 4cc band! I think this one is gonna do it for me. This last 20 Lbs is gonna be the death of me. Seems like it is taking 4EVER to come off. I have gone from an 18/20 bottoms and 2X, 3X shirts to 12's and 8/10 shirts! I am so excited and can't wait to reach my goal. Don't have many before pictures but here is one from a few years ago (heavier than this at surgery date) and a new pic I took today (dont have any full body shots!). Thank you so much Paulax! I am so excited to almost be at my goal. It seems the last 20 Lbs are gonna be the hardest. I have been told that the 4cc band can hold 5cc+ so you have plenty of room to go if needed. GOOD LUCK and congrats on the 12's yourself! It's so exciting :clap2:!

Had another fill yesterday and up to 4.5cc in my 4cc band! I have 19 Lbs to my goal and hopefull can do it with this last fill. I have been losing but slowly and gone from size 18/20 to a 12 :clap2:! I am so excited to go shopping now and not in the womens plus size section! I have Omnipaque solution in my band instead of saline. Omnipaque is just a thicker solution. I was having a problem with losing saline and now with the Omnipaque I have not had a problem at all. All doctors are different when it comes to fills. Mine likes to wait 3 weeks in between fills. It took me 5 fills to get good restriction. Hang in there you will find your sweet spot. I have Omnipaque in my band. First fill was saline but when I went back for another it was not there so they started using the Ominpaque, have not had any problems with losing that at all. Again, I am at 4.2cc in my 4cc band. Hopefully this will be my sweet spot. On liquids and mushies today so tomorrow I will try regular food and see what happens! Good luck everyone! Update: Had my 5th fill today and now at 4.2cc in my 4cc band! So far, so good! I think this one might have done it!!!! I hope my last 32 Lbs goes quick! I was down to 197 when I was weighed, thought I was 198 nice suprise! I asked if I could have more fills since I am at 4.2cc in a 4cc band and they said yes that I could go to 5cc or a little more! Just had my 5th fill this afternoon and ALL of mine have been done under Fluro. They have me lay down and then insert the needle into the port, then they pull out the saline that is currently there and then put that back, then put more in. After that I go under Fluro and drink the Barium (spelling??) and then they take a picture to make sure it's flowing ok and that I am not to tight. Never heard of drinking while they inject the saline. But again, just like with everthing else, all docotors are different! Hope that helps a little. Good luck! I am currently at 3.5cc in my 4cc band and still not at my sweet spot. I am losing weight slowly. Going for another fill today and hopefully this will do the trick! Good luck everyone! I have been told not to eat two hours prior to a fill. But I am sure like everything else - all doctors are different. Hope that helps! Kim
