  5. I am almost at my 5 of 6 - pre op supervised diet. I have done nothing but gain 2-4 pounds each month......I am so discouraged and I am so afraid my insurance will deny me! I have been under a lot of stress the past couple monthes and have already started to mourn food thinking after the surgery I will never be able to eat again......any suggestions?
  6. Has anyone gained weight or stayed the same weight during the 6 mo pre op diet? If so, were you still approved?

  10. My PCP is the one that mentioned the sleeve, he said he had done some research on it and prefered it to RNY because there was less malapsorbtion issues. I havnt talked to my surgeon yet, I will meet with him next month and see what he has to say. They say there is less dumping with the sleeve but in some sick way I think I may need something like dumping to scare me from eating things i know i shouldnt! Keeping my options open and I will let you all know what my surgeon says! Thanks for all the comments btw!
  11. I hear ya.....just want to explore all my options before I makes such a life changing decision!
