  1. Cool. Thanks everyone. It looks like one week is average. Just trying to get an idea of the possible dates I can get for surgery, after my last PCP visit.
  2. It started off as medicaid alone then eventually chose a medicaid managed program (Health plus, affinity, etc) So in a nut shell its still medicaid when I answer the question "What type of insurance you have?" by any one in a hospital/clinic etc.
  3. Perhaps find a nut that takes medicaid. I live in NYC and have medicaid, and Im covered.
  4. Just curious to know how long did it take for approval from handing the paperwork in to approval.
  5. Is there much difference between Medicaid and Medicare?
  6. I think its natural to have fears of the physical changes when dealing with weightloss. While I can agree that a large majority of black men might like "thickness" in a woman, not all do. Whats most important is trying to overcome fears that both partners might have. Communication is important, honest and open communication. I feel that a partner should accept your size regardless, especially if its improving you, i.e. eliminating comorbities, or the positive physical changes. Losing weight is not something breaking up over so tell that partner to chill out and sit down somewhere.
  7. Im all about health first. Being thick doesnt always equate to unhealthy. I also realize that not everyones thick is the same. A YT video I watched showed women who the creater thought was thick, and a woman no bigger than 150 lbs at about 5"7 was considered thick. I dont really use the term to describe a persons physique its too varying. I do get the point you are trying to make though.
  8. Yahooooooo! Is your surgery in the states? How many more months do you have for weight management.
  9. No date yet. I most likely will get a date in July. I think they will wait until the final, month. All of the June/July/Aug please add me as a friend so we can watch each others journey, etc.
  10. Anyone having their surgery in July/August?
  11. I decided to wait, mainly because I have HS, and hoping that it will go away with weight loss like it normally does.
  12. Will it always hurt or will it eventually go away?
  13. I was thinking it might be easier to get approval for a reduction at this size, as opposed to later, but my major concern is will it still look perky when I lose weight. My boobies are 44 G/H and was thinking about reducing them to a DD cup. I dunno, because Id like to still have breasts when at goal which is at least 125 lbs away. Im sure it would make better sense to fix them later.
  14. Question for women that have had a breast reduction/lift before wls or a large amount of weight loss: Did your boobs still keep its lifted shape?
  15. I heard that as well as other juices were good for constipation in babies as well. Guess its back to basics.
  16. I too would like to know how the suegery went OP.
  17. Besides my sleepware, what should I bring?
  18. Aww man, Id love to rescue a yorkie. Rescues arent kid friendly from what I experienced. In regards to little dogs.
  19. I will try the magnesium. Thanks. Yea I have to drink more for sure. Btw I lovvve yorkies! Yea, I'm anemic so I have to. I just started taking less.
  20. Constipation is no fun, and I'm not even post-op. Between my iron pills, and lack of water sometimes I get bricked. So... for post opers that are far out, is super colon cleanse, and citroma going to be my best friends for life?
  21. Only reason I dont dress up now is because I didn't want to buy clothes I didn't intend on still fitting in. It's going to be ridiculous in a few months. Lol.
  22. Does anyone feel like they might be a tad more "wild" in their new bodies? When I say wild I mean a little more risque, showing more body, or being sexy 24/7? Lol.
  23. Anyone have any information to the percentage of how many sleevers have heartburn in the various amounts of time, whether a month, six months, to three years out. Thanks.
  24. Man, when I gained my weight back I felt bad. I think I would feel just as equally bad if I did after WLS. However I feel I'd be able to bounce back faster because I don't think there is any way the sleeve can stretch back to the size of my old tummy. I may be wrong.
