Did Everyone Here Go On A Liquid Diet Before Surgery?
You can have as MANY thoughts as you want, however where exactly did I say I couldn't do two weeks? You have seen only this post and assume that I couldn't. I asked a simple question about a two week diet, which I am entitled to. So please don't assume. Just a thought.

What Are The Main Reasons People Get Denied Approval?
So how does one show their weight loss attempts? I am trying to get everything together in advance. I never had the extra cash for weight watchers etc, however I have joined gyms over many years, but I don't have actual proof of that. I mean I don't have the records of the payments, etc. I also tried pills, but that was years ago as well. I do have a food journal right now, but I only started it recently.

Did Everyone Here Go On A Liquid Diet Before Surgery?
Not to get ahead of myself, but I would love to only do a vegeterian diet, since I am one already. That would be soooo awesome. One can dream right?

Did Everyone Here Go On A Liquid Diet Before Surgery?
I know all of the above. What I want to know is why some doctors want some to do it for one or two weeks, why some aren't told too, and if the liver is xrayed prior to.

I know its to make the liver less fatty, but do they do an xray or sonogram of the liver prior to telling you to go on a liquid diet? I have seen some that didn't go on a liquid diet, and some that have only gone on a liquid diet for a week, however the average I have seen is two weeks. Thanks.

What Are The Main Reasons People Get Denied Approval?
I'm curious. I am starting the process on the 31st. I called my insurance today to see if the sleeve was covered and they said it is if its a medical necessity. So that got me thinking "Hmmm.." so.. I would like to know what are the reasons most people get denied approval? I have no comorbities, but my BMI qualifies me. Thanks a bunch.

Well I Thought I Was Done, But....
Like most have said your goal is YOUR goal. For me I'm happy at anything 170 and under, but if I had to pick a number I'd guess 140 would be ideal for me, depending on what that looked like. The body is different so my 140 might look really small on my frame. At 200 I looked small for my size. That was the first time I was able to fit into size 12's as well as 14's and 16's. So I guess for now it just depends for me on how I look, and not so much the pounds. I'm more clothing size driven. Once I get to a Medium size, and not this new vanity sizing, a true medium, I am in heaven!

Should I Call And Ask My Insurance Again?
Im waiting for my phone to get a good charge. So who would know/tell me how many months of weight management would be needed, the doctor or insurance? I'd assume insurance. The first time I called and asked for info, she said Id need to see a nutritionist. Then when I asked her how long, she tells me there's no set amount of time.

Bedhead, by any chance are you on another forum like this. I just saw someone with the same handle respond to a post of mine. I know its possible it can be someone else, but would be cool if it was you.

Should I Call And Ask My Insurance Again?
So I called my insurance and asked if WLS was covered. The rep told me yes, but she couldn't tell me which one exactly. She said the doctor would "put it in" and then I will know whats covered. I'm like "huh?" Should I call again and ask. I think the person I spoke to didn't really want to get into specifics. I have a feeling only the band and bypass would be covered. Or should I wait until my consultation?

Anyone Ever Lost Friends After Knowing You Were Getting The Surgery?
Any of your friends ever got mad, or just plain didn't like the idea you either lost weight or intending on getting the surgery mainly for the reason that you would be smaller in size?

Anyone Had Their Surgery Done Through The Navel?
I already chose a surgeon, well at least the hospital. Four doctors at my hospital do it. My bf had her surgery done almost ten years ago and so far Ive met another person, that had her surgery done by him, so I'm comfortable choosing him. I will officially meet him in three weeks so of I'm not feeling him, then Ill go with another doctor.
