Good Luck!!!! So excited for you. I fly out Easter, surgery Monday. You had asked me about diet but I guess you figured it out. Clear liquids were for only 3 days. Congrats on your surgery and weight loss! I am going to Tijuana for a sleeve with Dr. Garcia the day after Easter. I'll be traveling alone. So, you stayed two nights in hospital. Were you feeling up for leaving hotel after that for shopping etc? I would think you'd want to chill and relax but if you are feeling good then I guess not... I think I'll handle surgery well. Anything tips you can give me for traveling etc? I enjoyed your blog. I think its great your exercising! Chewing slow will be an issue for me too, working on it now. Thanks!!

Hi BarbieB. I am going to see Dr. Garcia for sleeve on April 9, 2012 - day after Easter, from Jacksonville Florida. I see you also came from Florida. I'll be traveling along.....do you think thats OK since its such a long trip? I am a pretty strong & smart gal so not too worried. And tidbits you can fill me in on that may help me with trip and experience besides packing lightly...lol. Also, you mentioned you had to call for meds...what meds? Did they not send you to hotel with enough and also why did you need money for them? I am hoping the costs cover everything. Sorry for so many question but one more....did you stay in hospital 2 nights or 1 and did you get a private room. Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions. HI. I am having Dr. Fernando Garcia do my sleeve this coming Apirl 9th. I researched quite a bit....also didn't want a strip mall clinic but the half way house thing really bothered me. I do like Garcia because after your sleeve you stay 2 NIGHTS in the hospital and since I'll be traveling alone I like that idea. I pretty much booked it for asap and the girls at alighterme really helped me, Linda there. Good luck in your decision. Take Care FinallyMe
