  2. Ask your doc if its ok for you to have aleve now. I had the same issues but the aleve took away the inflamation and I was able to sleep
  3. The weight doesn't come off drastically with the band. And I work from home and travel to the office only 3 times a year. As I stated before I didn't want to hear any negative comments or scare tactics about how I could die or why's ....so I ran with the theory less is more. I workout everyday...the band is just an aid and assistance to a lifetime change
  4. I wanted this surgery 5 yrs ago and didn't do it because of the discouragement... I gained 80 more lbs over 5 yrs and decided I had enough of being over weight to Hell with everybody else! I'm gonna do this for me. I have no other health issues and I didn't want that to change since I'm knocking at 40 in age soon.
  5. I've lied to most, sad to say. Ive been telling people I had my gall bladder removed. Other than my close friends and immediate family, I'm not ready to share, or listen to negative comments about why I would have surgery
  6. Thanks for the update! Im glad you are feeling better
  7. Something to look forward to..summer is right around the corner. Tcby has great fatfree low calorie frozen yogurt..u can find it at Walmart...sorta like a normal food for now

  9. Special k protein is sold at frys grocery market here in AZ in the pharmacy section by the vitamins
  10. I went to work Friday... Fortunate enough to work from home...sitting in the office chair hurt a little bit. But I was ok
  11. Hey there...hang in there. Is there a fresh n easy in your area? They have a great red pepper soup and fat free frozen yogurt
  12. Sktatey, hang in there..the weight will come off. If you continue to gain I would suggest contacting your doctor to check your band. Please keep me posted... I am on this journey with you

  15. Hi all, I was just banded on the 20th. I am so excited about this journey. My starting weight was 312 bmi of 52 I'm down 8 lbs so far. This is not easy, but something I'm committed to doing. I'm on full liquids for 3 wks and still have to cook and eat dinner with my family. I had 2 bottles of water, some muscle milk light, and a small bowl of soup today. I cooked plaintain oxtails peas n rice for my family. Needless to say I craved their food. Don't know how I'm supposed to give up rice forever....but I'm taking it 1 day at a time.
