  13. @Jessless great work on the one pound. It all adds up over time. Additionally getting the snacks out of the house always helps! It sounds like you know what the issue is. I had a poop ton of weight gain and I am now down 13 pounds. I’m over the moon. It has been S L O W and steady but I went back to protein first, not drinking with meals, cutting out crappy food, and exercising 4 days a week. We’ve got this. Keep at it and be patient with results.

  18. That is just the news I needed to hear!!! Thank you for sharing. I’m doing the same. This week I’m down three pounds! Woot! Woot! I know not to expect that next week since I’m still in the beginning, but it’s great to h e some positive momentum to keep me going.

  20. Hey! I’m not someone who has gotten it back off, but I am someone who has been working at it for the past week. I am in a similar boat in that I have gained quite a bit and I feel it. It’s horrible. I have more than 40 to lose and was sleeved in 2012. I came back to BP, started back with basics- protein first, no eating and drinking at meals, and cut the crap. I’ve also been exercising again. I can post weekly updates here if you’d like. Start today. Good luck!
  21. Hey! It’s great to hear from people that have been successful and those with challenges. I was sleeved in March 2012. My highest weight was 235 and my lowest was 117. I became an ultra runner and was able to maintain at 135-145 for a few years without work. I was okay with this. It was comfortable and I could eat what I wanted. Then I took a new job and went back to school. I stopped exercising and continued to eat like a runner. Two years later I am sitting at 187. I am uncomfortable and unhappy. I’m happy to share that I changed jobs again (my start date is July 1) so I won’t be commuting and I will have time to work out. Now I need the mental strength and fortitude to get it done. Running is not the same for me, but I am trying to get my ish together. I am starting all over again. I am trying to recommit AGAIN. I start and then fall off the wagon. Horrible cycle!! This is what brought me back to BP. I find myself in the horrible loop of saying, “I just need to get through this week, weekend, holiday, etc and then I’ll start”. There is always a date, a weekend getaway, stressful week at work and so forth. I am sad that I know what needs to be done but I still make poor food choices or am just too lazy to exercise. Thank you to the vets that post. Hopefully I can find my way back to a healthy weight and lifestyle.
  22. Hi! I was eating carne asada at 5 weeks out. I couldn't tolerate hamburger until 4.5 months out. Hamburger made me feel horrible, so I switched to turkey patties. I was eating ground round beef at 5 weeks out as well. I agree with the other posters. Start slow and give it a try!
  23. Yeah, I freaked out last season that I weighed more than Tim Tebow. I so feel ur angst! I'm happy to say that I now weigh less than Tim Tebow! Woot! Woot! Ull get there too!
  24. Woot! Woot! U look fabulous! I like the black dress with the flower the best. Big NSV for rocking juniors clothes without spanx. Really, u look awesome!! Congrats!
  25. I remember feeling so incredibly low around that time and I think I was really missing food. I felt like I was starving. I totally agree with the poster that said ur missing chewing. This was it for me! I wanted crunchy, darn it! Focus on soft foods and jazzing them up when it is appropriate with ur diet. As for plates- I saved money and just ate off saucers. Just think of the money u will save on plates and food. It can go into the new clothing fund. In regards to chest size- omg! I have shrunk tremendously. When I first began I was a 40DD, now I'm a 36C. I'm smaller than high school! I never saw that coming! Lol.
  26. Congrats! That is awesome on all accounts. Yay weight loss as a team. Mutual support makes all the difference. And WOW, that 5k pic is priceless! Congrats on ur success! Life IS good.
  27. @1920-zeta: I know I could be on a slippery slope here, so please forgive me if I inadvertently offend u. Perhaps God is already working on it. U saw a new ob/gyn and a dnc is the recommendation. What more are u looking for? If the new doc is familiar with ur health history and the complications from a dnc, and they still made the recommendation maybe this IS what is best to prevent further issues for u. I hope u get some relief soon. Take care.
  28. Oh no! Soreness does go hand in hand with personal training. I don't know why they push to that point. But- just think ur muscles will heal and it won't be so bad next time. Yay u for keeping the appt and working out. Wtg!
