  2. Loss of Smell After VSG

    I am now 4 days post op and I was wondering if any of you have experienced loss of smell after vsg? I still smell and taste, it just feels less potent than before. Could be just some wierd coincidence, but I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience. I read about it online and some say it might be from the anesthesia. Is that a normal reaction? Will it go away? You guys are amazing! Thanks!!

    Hi everyone! Was sleeved 3 days ago and it’s very overwhelming. My dr said that I can’t drink a half hour before eating and a half hour after eating. It takes me a while to eat foods now( if I can get anything in) and it seems like I’m always checking the clock of when I last ate or drank in order to get everything in. Anyone else experiencing this? Does it get better? How strict is the no eating and drinking rule? thanks!
