  1. I'm feeling great! The recovery is pretty tough. I had pain for about 3 weeks, but only really bad pain for about a week. I can eat about a half a cup of food at a time. The only complication I've had is acid reflux that has caused me a little nausea and some pain. Taking a Prilosec everyday helps that though. I've almost lost my craving for sweets because they make you sick after you've had the sleeve. I crave fruit now. I would have the surgery again without thinking twice. It's the smartest thing I ever did.
  2. Dr. Nease was my surgeon and he is awesome!!! You'll love him. Just go to one of his seminars and hear the story of his father who died from complications of obesity, and you'll know why he chose to help people like us. I can't say enough good things about him. I had my surgery on April 25th and have lost 60 pounds. The staff at cabell huntington are also great. Good luck!
  3. I woke up to a nurse calling my name. Then I realized I was HOT. I had those compression boots on and they had me bundled up in covers so I was boiling. I must have drifted back to sleep for a second, but when I woke up there was a little fan blowing on my face. The recovery room nurse was awesome.
  4. I'm glad you both feel better about the surgery now. Good luck and keep me posted!
  5. I forgot to add that Dr. Nease truly cares because his own father died from obesity related illnesses. He is a really nice guy!
  6. Dr. Nease is amazing! He is doing my surgery in Huntington on the 25th. He was taught by the man who pioneered laparoscopic gastric bypass, and who was also the doctor who performed Carnie Wilson's surgery online. You are in good hands. People come from all over the country to have him perform their surgery.
  7. I am scheduled for April 25th. I can't wait!!!
