  3. Ur weight gain at surgery is from the air pumped in ur stomach...it will go away over time--walking helps..I was like 10-15 lbs higher day I came home and it takes a week or two for the all the air to leave ur body..I still feel some air come up when I drink and I'm 6 wks post op tomorrow
  4. Hi ladies!! Congrats on the life change!! I'm 6 wks out tomorrow. So here's my answers to ur ?s based on my experience...Pooping--alot less, at first when ur on liquids..let's say what goes in comes out, based on my experience, now I'm on soft foods and I go about every other day. I have issues with constipation but I think because it's hard for me to stay hydrated. As for nausea, I was nauseous the first week or so but I couldn't do the broth (I think I was traumatized from the no sodium broth at the hospital) and the protein I was trying was too sweet for me...now since I'm re-introducing foods I only he nauseous when something doesn't sit right or I take too many bites...it's a learning experience...Good luck on ur journey and know that the pain will pass and the results u see will help u through ur journey!!

Good luck on this journey and u will find that soon enough u can maybe eat some (whole wheat Mac n cheese)...Best of luck!!!
  7. Thank u for the info--I hope to b posting NSV's soon!!! I'm down 73 total (40 before) 33 after but still haven't gone down a size--I thought I would have-plus I don't want to buy any new clothes till I'm sure I'm down a size...so I won't b discouraged if the smaller size don't fit. Thanks again for the info

  10. I used pain meds for almost a week, I had liquid Lortab...it helped me when I went walking and at bedtime.
  11. It's very scary....I'm 6 weeks out (tomorrow). I was like what did I do to myself, but it does get easier. I didn't walk a mile but i would take 10-15 minute walks in my neighborhood. As for drinking.......it's still hard for me....i started gettting dehydrated and actually used the timer on my phone....every 5 minutes I would take a sip, it would hurt sometimes because you can feel the liquid go down and the gas come up. Just take it slow. As for protein, I like the Nectar brand...I'm still having a hard time getting all my protein in.....try not to be discouraged, remember what you have already gone through....and the good things to come....GOOD LUCK!!!! You can do it!!!!
