  1. I am getting ready for my second fill. I have a 10cc band and my first fill brought me up to 5 cc's. What is the normal number of fills that can be expected?
  2. What is the aver age time between fills? Banded on 2/15 with 2.0 cc's. I was told I would have my first fill 6 weeks later. That first fill was 2.5 cc's. I don't feel any restriction anymore. Is this normal? doc told me my second fill would be in 90 days! What is your experience?

  4. I have a 10cc band and had a 2.2 cc first fll. All total it brings me up to 4.5 cc's. I felt a significant change, I eat amount they said I should eat and get that full feeling shortly after, all as advertised. You may have a total of 5 cc's, but it does not seem they would add it all at once. Stay with the plan. So far I haven't had any food kick back? Good luck
  5. I had my first fill 5 days ago and thought it went well. The thought of the needle was the worst part other whole process. I am lucky my insurance picks up all the cost. Looking forward to the second fill in three months.
  6. It sounds you are on track! I was told I could start smoothies on day 3 after my surgery. I didn't feel much like eating anyway as I was recovering from the anesthesia and pain mess. After that I was ready to go back to work by day 4. I quickly beame hungry after eating up to my first fill. Doc said with the fills, " it's like starting over again and adjusting to the new restriction. I am very happy I went through with the banding.
  7. Sugar Land is a suburb of Houston and is near the Medical Center. I would think there would be a group in my neck of the woods?
  8. Does anyone know if there is a support group in the Sugar Land area?
  9. The gas pain is due from air that migrated from the abdomen to the thoracic region. Apparently the expand the abdomen for the laparoscopic surgery. I experienced the same thing and asked my doctor about the pain and that was the explanation I received. The doctor told me to take Alieve or Motrin when the shoulder pain started to bother me. It mess really helped.as for the surgery the first two days afterwards was the worse. It was ready to go back to work in 3 days. I hope your experience is or was as easy.
  10. Having doubts before and immediately after lapband surgery is normal, at least for me. I wondered what in the hell did I get myself in to! That lasted only about two days after surgery. Now, I knw it was the berthing I have ever done for myself. Going for my first fill onnThursday!
