  1. I have a question for you early March Bandsters . . . I was banded on the 9th and today marks two weeks. This last week has been great, I was getting all my protein, but having a hard time getting all my water. Yesterday, however was horrible! My back was hurting (It's also my time of the month, grrrrrr) and took some meds (probably a little overkill, but I took some of the liquid prescription from the doc, not a lot mind you). Anyways, about an hour later I am began to feel extremely nauseous and threw up twice. I had some nausea in the beginning, right after surgery, but this marks the first real vomiting experience. I am back to being frustrated and feeling like, What have I done? Has anyone else felt this? I am guessing that the meds upset me, since I had a pretty empty stomach. But sheesh! Today my belly and incisions are sore all over again. I am just ready to eat something substantial! Thanks for letting me vent . . . this can be so hard and, of course, I am so emotional and weepy! Argh! This too shall pass.
  2. Today is Day 12 for me too and I am starting to get so hungry too!! I see my doctor on Friday! Let me know how your appt goes?
  3. I didn't get one either. The doctors said I was ok. I wouldn't worry about it. Although if you arent feeling right, call them. It took me a couple of days to get over the tightness. Tomorrow will be day 7 and I can have full liquids. So excited! I'm also finally feeling somewhat "normal".
  4. Thanks everyone for the advice. I got anti-nausea meds at the hospital but nothing since then. I also stopped taking the pain meds, thought they really contributed to the nausea. I got up and went for another walk and will try the milk of magnesia today. Heating pad also helps. It's a bit better, but I too having a hard time getting my liquids and protein in. Going to a support group tomorrow and will talk to my bariatric nurse as well there. One day at a time!!
  5. I got banded on March 9. Just a few days ago. I'm having the hardest time with gas and nausea. I can hardly sleep and am almost in tears. Nothing is working! Anyone have any ideas? I've tried walking, hot tea, gas x strips, pepto. When will this pass?
