I went 3 weeks ago and got approved for a revision and sleeve just got a call today I was shocked. Just curiou how much do we still pay usually out of pocket??

Well I got an unexpected call today. It hasn't even been a months and my insurance has approved me for my revision to sleeve I am so excited. I am going to do mine here in Dallad but would recommend Garcia and Zapata to anyone. I'm excited to start my new chapter just like you all are.

Wel last night I went to the ER thinking it was my gall bladder, but they said it is my band. Luckily my insurance will pay for the removal. I am suppose to get it out either Tuesday or Thursday thank goodness. I am more than ready. I guess after the healing time from that then I will try to schedule for sometime in may. I just hope Dr.Garcia will still do a sleeve for me since my bmi is already 30.2. I know they do the removal to sleeve with a low bmi but since it will already be out I'm thinking he will say no:(

I haven't scheduled it yet because I have so much going on with my family. I was all set but on hold now. I feel confident about going to Mexico as well. I went to Dr. Zapata for my band and that was over five years ago. Haven't had a problem with it EVER. Just now poor restriction and belching past 6 months

How was your travel and stay? I am terrified to go across and into Mexico. My family keeps pulling up articles and such of the crime trying to scare me. I laugh it off but I am scared!!

I am a 30.2 bmi as well no co morbilities. My ins will cover the removal but I still have to pay 11850 for the sleeve. Removal and sleeve by Dr. Garcia is 5500. Sign me up lol

Not rude at all. The doc that did my band is now 9000 for the sleeve. I am going to an associate of his for 5500. They both are HIGHLY recommended. Took me months to decide to go back. I feel comfortable with it. I'm nervous because it Is a revision but I feel safe. Make sense lol??!!

I was banded in mexico and am going back for my sleeve. I recommend mexico all the way!!

I have been dealing with Alma too. I am thinking maybe sometime in March. I am ready to do it today. I will figure out what day sometime this week. I just pray my revision Is an easy one.

My husband is too busy with work to go so I may just go by myself as well. Besides from what I hav read people tend to be pretty sleepy and it wouldn't be any fun to make someone sit around lol. I am coming from Texas. How about you? I feel 100% confident in Garcia especially if ready4achange is affiliated with him. I'm not really worried about safety issues. How about you?

How did you come across Dr. Garcia if you don't mind me asking. I had the band done with Dr. Zapata and loved him, but the price is great with Garcia an they are affiliated so I feel so comfortable with my choice.

I have not but I too am really looking into Dr. Garcia. Little nervous but excited. Are you having just the sleeve or a revision.

My insurance only required a Psych Eval and attendance to a nutrition class.... Anyone else have to do just this as well? I am having my band removed and trying to get the sleeve covered.

Has anyone out there had a lapband that you changed over to a sleeve?? If so what was your starting weight before getting the sleeve and how was the recovery? Notice any difference restriction wise?
