hello everyone hope all is well in there journey and to the new comers hope all is well with your journey to come..today i am 3 months post op and i feel great.. i am 45 lb down almost halfway to my goal of a 100lbs. i started this journey at 304, i wasnt really focus on weight lost because i just wanted to get healthy, i was borderline diabetic, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, now everything is great,, no machine , bp is great and no longer borderline diabetes.. yeyee for me. i choose not to tell people about my decision just because i didnt want to hear the negative opinion of others or people thinking i went the easy way out by getting the wls and i just want to scream to the top of my lungs, its not easy at all.. every day i still have to make smart choices about what to eat or what not to eat , getting in my protein and water and exercise and still take care of a family and a have a full time job.. yes this surgery help me as far a portion control i cant eat alot maybe 1/2 cup of food or i will throw up but other than that i still have to work hard to keep the weight off that i lose..people around me are starting to ask me what i do or what am i doing? i just say i decided to take a new journey to a new me and this road is long but i take it day by day.. i have no regrets in my decesion i would do it again.. i love putting on pants that almost fall off me or hearing someone say omg you look great.. the other day a coworker told me i had a waistline.. i laugh it off then thought well how big was i really but you have those people that say anything but you know what, all i said was thank you and held my head high cause i know im on a new journey to me.. im now in a size 18 from 24 shirts are xl from 2xl .im also 5'10. im loving this journey to a new me.. have a good day just wanted to share .pic to come soon

HELLO ALL HOPE ALL IS GOOD WELL TODAY MARKS 3 WEEKS POST OP AND IM FEELING PRETTY GOOD, GETTING MY Water IN , BUT THE Protein IS ANOTHER STORY BUT I FEEL GOOD, WALKING ABOUT 30 MINS A DAY NO MORE HEADACHES OR DIZZINESS. I NEED TO GET MY Vitamins IN SO THAT MY NEXT GOAL.. SO FAR IM DOWN 21 LBS YAAAY FOR ME.. BUT LATELY WHEN I EAT I HAVE THIS FEELING LIKE SOMETHING IN STUCK IN THE BACK OF MY THORAT LIKE AT MY CHEST. IT FEEL LIKE SOMETHING IS THERE AND IT WONT GO DOWN AND IT IS BOTHERSOME,. I TAKE MY THE GAS X BUT IT DONT SEEM TO HELP.. WILL THIS FEELING GO AWAY

Was sleeved yesterday amd ready to go home..the pain wasnt as bad ..but the gas pains I can do without..i been walkin and its helpin..got nausea a couple times just dont like that feelin..cant wait to get home and in my bed..ttyl

Well my overnite bag is packed and my mind is racing..im excited and nervous..i will be getting sleeved at 830 am..ready to start a healther life and new beginning..keep me in your prayer..

GOOD MORNING WELL PRE OP TESTING WENT WELL AND EVERYONE AT THE HOSPITAL WERE WONDERFUL.. SO NICE AND HELPFUL REASSURING ME EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE. MET WITH MY DR YESTERDAY THINKING WELL ANOTHER 2 OR 3 WEEKS , HE WAS SO EXCITED TELLING ME HOW ABOUT NEXT WEDNESDAY, I ABOUT FELL OFF THE TABLE , IM WAS SHOCKED,IM LIKE REALLY THAT SOON, YOU SURE NOT NEXT MONTH, MORE FOR MY SANITY THAN HIS , IM STILL TRYING TO WRAP MY MIND AROUND ALL OF THIS, IM EXCITED, SCARED, NERVOUS ..ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I PRAYED ON IT AND I KNOW IT WILL BE FINE, IT JUST SEEM WHEN ALL THIS STARTED IT WAS ALL GOING IN SLOW MOTION.. NOW FAST FORWARD ..BUT IM READY TO START A NEW BEGINNING A NEW THINNER, HEATLHIER ME..

HELLO EVERYONE I CALLED THE INSURANCE COMPANY YESTERDAY (UHC)AND I WAS APPROVED!!!! aIT TOOK 1 WEEK AND 1/2 AFTER SUMMITED. TODAY MY SURGEON OFFICE CALLED AND I HAVE MY PRE-OP TESTING FRIDAY THEN I GET A SURGERY DAY.. WOW.. IM EXCITED AND NERVOUS ALL AT THE SAME TIME.. BUT I DO HAVE A QUESTION.. WHAT TEST DO THEY DO FOR PRE OP OR DOES IT REALLY JSUT DEPENDS ON YOUR DR AND HOW SOON CANI TRAVEL AFTER SURGERY.. I HAVE A VACATION TRIP TO MAIMI SECOND WEEK IN JUNE WILL I BE STRONG ENOUGH TO GO IF MY SURGERY IS MID MAY??? THANKS FOR ANY REPLY

WELCOME KENDRA THIS IS A PLACE FULL OF INFORMATION . WELL I JUST FINISHED MY LAST VISIT WITH MY DR AND JUST WAITING ON APPROVAL.. I DID CALL THE INSURANCE THEY SAY TO ALLOW 30 DAYS BUT USUALLY ITS SOONER SO ONCE U GET THERE JUST CALL THEY WILL TELL U WHAT U WANT TO KNOW.. GOOD LUCK

WELL YESTERDAY WAS MY LAST APPT FOR MY 6 MONTH DIET. MY DR IS GOING TO SUBMIT THE PAPERWORK THIS MORNING AND PRAYING FOR APPROVAL FROM UHC .MY FRIEND WAS APPROVED WITHIN A WEEK SO I PRAY IM JUST AS LUCKY. IM SO NERVOUS AND EXCITED ALL AT THE SAME TIME..SO READY TO TAKE MY SEAT ON THE LOSER'S BENCH.. I HAVE BEEN PRAYING AND MEDITATING WRAPING MY MIND AROUND THIS NEW JOURNEY IN MY LIFE IM ABOUT TO TAKE .. HOPING FOR END OF APRIL OR EARLY MAY DATE. HAVE VACATION IN MIAMI IN JUNE..READY FOR THE BEACH... READY TO ENJOY LIFE AGAIN WITH MY SOON TO BE SLEEVE.. HAVE GOOD DAY

good morning it went really well..faster than i thought maybe 15 -20 min tops.. he ask my med conditions and why i was having the surgery ,check my range of motion and sent me on my way.. he was really nice and understanding willing to do what i needed to help me get this done.he said he would type it all up and send it to my surgeon by today .im so relieved now thats over which wasnt as bad as i thought . within a week i have my 5th weight in, then one more to go.. getting excited and scared all at the same time. thanks alot for the reply

THANKS YOU GUYS FOR THE REPLY ..THE DR CALLED AND IT IS CORRECT PHYSICAL THERPY EVAL IS NEEDED FOR MY INSURANCE FOR THE SURGERY.. THE NEW REQUIREMENT CHANGE FROM DAY TO DAY SO IM JUST GOING TO SUCK IT UP AND MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. IM SO READY TO START MY NEW BEGINNING..
