  1. Yes! It's a bit crazy to count down the moments until you have to get naked in front of strangers, climb on a table, be knocked unconscious, and have your body cut open! Oh, but I am!
  2. Or 132 hours..... Or 7920 minutes or..... 475, 200... 199.... 198 minutes. I'm so excited my innards and outards are quivering.
  3. Awesome job! I'm down about 12 I think. Somehow next Thursday seems so close, yet such an eternity away! I told my sister today that i was excited, only seven more days of liquid diet until surgery! She asked what kind of diet I'm on after surgery... I told her 21 days of liquid, but I'm not counting that! One hurdle at a time.
  4. Any one know any good Kansas city doctors that will fill bands from Mexico under fluoro??
  5. I can understand that and respect your opinion. But I've seen bad port accesses with central lines and I've read horror stories here. I've read reviews online about "fill centers" and they do not look positive. I'm just going to Have faith that my dr is Right when he says 2 to 3 fills over my journey and hope for the best. If it becomes a problem I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
  6. My post op instructions say a warm beverage will help reduce restriction and increase comfort if I'm feeling tight. Same concept maybe?
  7. Hi ladies and gents, here is my question. Im having my band placed in Mexico next Friday. After that I will be returnig to Mexico for my fill under fluoroscopy six weeks later. How many of you who find you had no restriction have had our fills under fluoroscopy? I don't want to have to fly to San Diego then travel to Mexico every two weeks for A .1 cc fill! Dr Ortiz said I should only require abot 2-3 fills total for my entire weight loss journey. Yet i am hearing all these (what equate to me as) horror stories about too much or two little restriction. Also, how many of you who find that you are too tight had your fill under fluoro? Thanks in advance!
  8. Only seven more days for you if you don't count the day of your surgery! You can do it, girl!
  9. I'm March 22nd as well. How are you coming along?
  10. Day three for me too... Where are you getting your surgery done?
  11. Every doctor seems to be different. Mine says 9 days prior, or two weeks of liquid plus one meal... But he does require 21 days of NOTHING solid afterwards.
  12. Full moon and Murphy's law working against you. Just take one moment at a time
