I am happy to finally get into the 250's. I am seven weeks out as of tomorrow." Today I am 246. That makes me down 74 since Christmas and 48 pounds since surgery.
  2. Ent out to the east coast last week and I saw this...a seatbelt with an extra 8 or 9 inches. When did they lengthen them?...lol. I almost needed and extension the last time I got on a plane so this is a major deal for me.

    Male Nsv

I'm 6 weeks out today and down 58 pounds. My NSV for yesterday was a surprise encore performance last night within minutes of the main performance. Maybe there is something to this testosterone thing? I have always been sorta up for around two....but only after a snack and an hours rest...lol. This was like being 21 again...daddy's back!
  4. I went to a company site today which I had not been to in about two years. I worked here in Baltimore for about four years from 2000 - 2004. I was showered with OMG's and awesome compliments all day. I even got a "damn, you got hot.". I walked out of there today with a beaming smile and a new cofidence. It was awesome to see these women completely change the way they interacted with me....it was awesome. I even got a "you look 5 years younger"....so I I'd the math and if I left in 2004 and I'm 41 now...I'm claiming 28...yeah that's it.

    I am Iron man....lol
  7. I was sleeved on 3/05/2012 and I am feeling great. I was 310 at Christmas, 294 day of sleeve, and today I was 263.6. I have had two stalls which have been relatively short. I find that walking/jogging is what breaks the stalls the quickest. I was pretty stoked last night as I walk/jogged my 5k in 43 minutes (big hills). As far as clothes go...I have went from a tight 44 jeans to a 38 and from a 3-4x shirt to a 1-2x. All in all I am feeling good about my progress.
  8. Well week four is coming to a close. Weighed myself this morning and I gained a half pound since last week. I am attributing it to the sore quads I have from starting the couch to 5k program. Down 40 pounds since start....feeling good.

  13. Pink IS my favorite color....in the immortal words of Steven Tyler and Aerosmith.
  14. The walk was awesome and the weather was too. Plan on ping t again today.

  15. Day 8.... Feeling almost normal ( dare I say?) and I am planning a walk since the weather in michigan is going to be super nice.

  16. Hello everyone. My name is Chris and I am from Fenton, mi (north Detroit). I was sleeved on 3/05 by Dr.Ali Elhorr of Dearborn Bariatrics. I am 41 years old and have been married to my wife Betsy for almost 18 years. She is being sleeved on 3/21 and we are going to do this together. I have lost 31 pounds since the first of February and I feel great. I do seem to get "hungry" later in the day. However, I am learning to deal with that via luigis Italian ice (lol). We were talking about our vacation in July this year and thinking about Yellowstone Park. All of a sudden I thought of the things we will be able to do tis year, that in years past, we would not have considered... White Water rafting Zip lines Water parks Mountain hiking Biking Horseback riding Kayaking It has made me realize how much of our lives we have wasted "sitting on the porch" watching the world go by.
  17. I'm new, sleeved on 3/05/2012, but I found mixing in some decaf coffee into a vanilla or chocolate shake really masks the "protein flavor / smell". I really like the cafe Carmel Atkins advantage shake which I believe is caffeine free.

    Men Versus Women

I have been lurking since January and I am scheduled for surgery on march 5th. I have been reading and trying to figure ut the post op process and it seems that men handle the recovery process better? I'm not saying we are stronger or mentally more capable to handle the process. I am just saying that I have not seen any of the "regret phase" or pain and sickness posts from any guys. Do you think there is anything to this?

    Men Versus Women

Thanks for the replies. I too think bedhead hit the nail on the head. Does anyone know the stats on men versus women electing this surgery?
